I went to see Jimmy Pardo last month. He is known as a mostly crowd work comedian. He will goof on, insult, and generally make fun of you quickly if he can. For someone like me, who is a fan, an admirer if you will, there could be no greater honor than for him to single me out in his act. Last month I got my wish as he goofed on my laugh (because it sound stunted as I tried to cut it off so I wouldn't be interrupting him, so it did sound funny). It was a thrill to have 10-20 seconds of his act devoted to goofing on me.
If you think so highly of i-mockery, why not think of being singled out in a rule as an honor instead of a reason to have a dork tantrum?

Hey Hot Cakes,
I'm a new member of this site cause a friend of mine on here told me to join up. I've been a member of Something Awful, Stile Project, and a bunch of other forums since the late 90's when we had to dial up on a phone line so all we had to look forward to was forums cause they loaded so fast compared to the 15 minute download times for a 15 second hentai clip (dark days I tell ya).
Anyways, the reason I bring up the other forums and the old school days is that people on there were pretty awful (no pun intended). If you posted anything like this on any of those forums, not only would you be banned but you would probably be in a list of incredibly annoying posters who contribute little more than complaints and angsty rage over nothing.
You counted the other members posts? THEY BROKE THE LIMIT?! AND WERE NOT PUNISHED!?! OH GEE GOLLY JEEPERS (a cookie to whoever gets that reference) THIS IS UNFAIR!!!!
I have learned one thing for every single forum I was a member of, none of them are fair and that is what makes them so much damn fun. Seeing one person posting bowel movement stories and not being frowned upon because that is one of their trademarks is an amazingly fun experience and makes these places a good time for those who DO NOT TAKE IT SO SERIOUS!!!!!
I used to take the trollin so serious it would anger me IRL and I realized I wasn't seeing the forest from the trees. These places are meant for people to relax, join a community (on this site it seems to be thankfully tight knit) and talk to people about things you would never talk about in the real world.
You are in the FAQ. That is freakin awesome. You need to be like that Simpsons episode where Kent Brockman is like "Take two tickets and see the game! *Warning tickets are not to be taken orally*" and Homer with FULL PRIDE goes "SEE!? Because of ME they now need a warning!"
I hope ya stick around, drama is fun - have fun.

Do not reply to everything.
If you absolutely must reply after everyone's posts, do it in the Chat Room thread in General Blabber. Otherwise this will be seen as an extreme nuisance. One of the first things an admin looks for when investigating a nuisance is the number of times they post in a day. New people should keep it under 10 posts per day. If you're registered as hot Kukuro, this is especially important to keep in mind.
This is the horrible edit to the guidelines that will ruin his internet career.

sorry, mock, but it's kinda serious when you're singled out in print in the rules section. Above where it says no fun at the expense of someone else. You gotta draw a clearer line here, and being compared to Coolinator?... just plain insulting. And ya wonder why you keep chasing off new members.
I will give it to Zero, though - no one needs him, or any of this. I'm sure I'll pass this on to others. Maybe it'll shape up eventually around here, cuz I really have loved the site itself for years. Meanwhile, good luck with your growing community.

So to answer your question, no, we're not serious at all, hence the "mockery" in the name of the site.
Best thing a person can do on the forums is grow a thick skin and learn to not only laugh at the ridiculousness of everyone and everything around them, but also to laugh at themselves. Not a bad life lesson either.

|hot Kukuro||actually, no. My question was why I was singled out, not whether he'd indirectly use my thread like a sole example. Let alone in such a witty, carefully crafted manner ; )|
