I use VLC media player, it is free, ugly and smells. But it play EVERYTHING w/out codec problems. A note: If this .AVI is coded as XVID this can be the root of the problem, a time ago my laptop hung simply listing a folder with a XVID file I simply uninstalled the XVID thingy and installed the actual version, the problem died fast but painfully for him. |

| Mad Melvin | Does the .avi play at all, or is there sound only/picture only? And if it doesnt work at all, what kind of error message do you get? |

I've had issues with Windows Updates messing with video playback. Even in winamp. I'm just saying. Sorry I can't help. |

.avi problems I downloaded david cross the pride is back and my friend has 3 episodes of the state downloaded, but they refuse to play eventhough they are in .avi for and we have codecs up the ass. I have no idea how it works.. |
