Kitsa We got 2 and I plays the drums. The pedal hurts my foot.

LordSappington Man, that sucks. Glad I have a 360.

Guitar Woman yeah, but not for Rock Band.

Most Wii online games have horrendously bare-bones setups, and I really wish developers would make a game with decent online support. Conduit looks like it might fit the bill, but I also am predicting it'll be a giant turd.

LordSappington I thought the wii had online capabilities??
Aug 6th, 2008 11:54 PM
bigtimecow sorry, i play the wii

no online ;(
Aug 6th, 2008 11:07 PM
LordSappington Agreed. It's fun to see mic players online leave the room when you put that on, too.
Aug 6th, 2008 06:50 PM
bigtimecow so we got the sampler pack, and some of the songs aren't that great (I'M LOOKING AT YOUR GRATEFUL DEAD ) but they are generally much higher in difficulty than most on rock band

nothing will beat tom sawyer though

LordSappington Admittedly, 4chan and all them did kill a lot of the fun of Portal. But I think since I played it before the hype got around so much, it's still really great to me.
Plus Still Alive is the catchiest and funniest video game song ever.

Fathom Zero Everything about Portal irritates me now. I used to like Still Alive and all the other sorts of things about Portal, but now I'm bitter.
Aug 1st, 2008 12:44 PM
LordSappington Hell to the no. If you don't know the words to Still Alive then you haven't been paying much attention on the internet.

Nick You mean play while humming, right.
Jul 28th, 2008 05:53 PM
LordSappington They were missing the songs I liked best. My Curse, Stricken, Welcome to the Jungle, I Am Murloc, We Three Kings, I could keep going.
Also, can anyone else here play guitar and sing at once?

Rockband has half or GH3's list of songs so that did really factor in with me. As for the guitar, I just always used my GH2 one.

PS: Ramones - Blitzkrieg Bop > Dead Kennedys knock offs.

executioneer you say that now but you haven't seen my lead singer M. C. Donalds
Jul 27th, 2008 05:56 AM
bigtimecow the wii and ps2 version has pre-rendered video playing in the bank, so you don't customize characters. but at the same time, who gives a shit? you should be watching the notes anyway

Nick Rockband was still better than Guitar Hero 3. Looked better as well.

They do look nice, but I have a hard enough time on drums as is.
Jul 25th, 2008 10:10 AM
bigtimecow i made a post somewhere before about the drums being more responsive, but that was apparently fueled by my wii boner for this game, because the drums are actually worse. it's much harder to register a hit, especially in song's like rush, where there are very fast 16th note hi-hats. you have to hit each one really hard and it gets extremely tiring/impossible.

you know what does look nice though? rock band 2's cymbal attachments. but you know what doesn't? rock band 2's guitar, because it's still going to be the lame ass shit they have now.

i had the sampler pack on reserve and it came in but i didn't have the money so i didn't buy it

MarioRPG Apparently it sucks on Wii. Any explanation there?
Jul 24th, 2008 12:22 AM
bigtimecow we bought rockband for the wii a couple weeks ago and have played it.... twice :{
Jul 24th, 2008 12:00 AM
Tadao I hope Southpark does an episode about this, Guitar Hero one was one of their funniest, that and when Cartman starts a christian band.

I lost a good 20% of my respect for you.
Also, Still Alive from Portal is downloadable for free on every console. Best song ever.
And me and my friend play it online at his house a lot; his PS3 name is old_mayo

Fathom Zero Any music game on a handheld deserves its own special cricle of Hell, where EBA, Guitar Hero: On Tour, and several others are smashed between the heads of fat people for eternity.
