Zhukov Very good swimmers.

Dimnos Who rides under a lorry to sneak into your country?
Apr 8th, 2010 12:45 PM
Zhukov Why say truck instead of lorry when you are talking about lorries?
Apr 8th, 2010 11:26 AM
Dimnos Dont use the term "lorries" and expect us to believe you know shit about anything.
Apr 7th, 2010 09:27 PM
anne2010 Because, what is the difference between him and those people so DESPERATE to leave their country, that they will cling on to the underside of lorries to get here? They are so desperate to leave their country, because if they stay there they will be killed.

I only had a single teacher in my primary education who pointed this out so I guess if people don't read on their own or don't take classes in university that cover these things, they can't even know what form of government they live under.

Zhukov Jeanette; no, everyone has to manually enrol when they turn 18. I don't know why it isn't done automatically.

YOU'RE, THAN.

Well, where I come from you can either vote for the MFP led by Max Rockatansky (currently in power, although not for too much longer) or the Armalite motorcycle gang – led by the barbaric "Toecutter".

Then there are the minor parties; Labor (not Labour, because they wanted to new and progressive, like the USA, rather than old and traditional, like the UK) Liberal (Like the Republicans) the Democrats, Socialist Alliance (which is a culmination of various bickering parties for the purpose of elections) and the Greens.

Actually, the Democrats might be defunct now, I can't remember.

Anyway, only the Greens are an acceptable alternative to the Socialists.

TheCoolinator Zhukov,

Fathom Zero How so?
Mar 25th, 2010 12:16 PM
The Leader It's a republic. The idea of a representative democracy is a contradiction.
Mar 25th, 2010 12:07 PM
Fathom Zero It's a representative democracy, you pillock. If you don't like the way that guy votes, vote for a different guy. OR RUN YOURSELF!

And the ideological parties, which are the ones that aren't "the two", don't do as well because they adhere to an ideology and therefore have a smaller membership. Which is to say that they're more rigid in their ideals than Democrats and Republicans.
Mar 25th, 2010 12:04 PM
The Leader No shit Sherlock. And the Democrats and Republicans are the only ones that matter because they're the ones in control.

The reds and blues aren't the only ones that matter. They are just the ones that are supported. It's a controlled debate. They can't allow different ideas to contaminate the prescripted theatre.

and the US is a republic. Not a democracy. We just choose our representitives through democratic elections.

TheCoolinator I'm still indecisive on whether it's a good thing to fine a person who didn't vote. Eitherway it's interesting. What kind of political parties do you have there? We have quite a few here in the US but the only ones allowed on television are the blues and reds.
Mar 25th, 2010 11:21 AM
Jeanette X Funny, here in the U.S. you're automatically registered to vote when you get your driver's license. Do they do something like that or is it a different system?
Mar 20th, 2010 03:49 PM
Colonel Flagg What about that "no rules just right" slogan? I bet they really don't mean it.

EDIT - I mean left, of course.

I bet Bill O'Reilly would even cut off other inmates. Would love to see him on OZ for ONE episode.

That's awesome. I'm glad you're not jailed.

edit: Also, to bring light to your voting dilemma I went to outback steakhouse last night.
