Fathom Zero I ARE DUMB. The benefits of reading, made apparent.

Hopefully this will be of benefit to anyone installing Windows from scratch. Thanks again, though, Dr.

Fathom Zero Well, I know there are other "accounts", like the SYSTEM account which runs all sorts of necessary processes and things and I remember hearing of another such account, but I think it's all unnecessary. Then again, I don't design operating systems and they probably did it in such a ham-handed way for a reason. Like laziness.

Anyways, I'll try that out, Boogie. I hope it'll work.

Dr. Boogie Some googling seemed to indicate the presence of a "hidden" Admin account within Windows 7, but I'm not 100% sure what they mean.

Fathom Zero Windows bloody 7. It's weird, because I did everything that I did when I installed it on my laptop, but it's not working. Ugh. I'll probably just roll Windows XP onto it soon if it doesn't stop being a bitch. But I don't use it for anything other than games. My laptops the workhorse when it comes to everything else.

10,000 Volt Ghost You might need to lower your computers vitality first to claim dominance. I suggest Articuno....but seriously...is it Vista?

Fathom Zero I am the only admin.

Except for the damned SYSTEM account and et cetera.

10,000 Volt Ghost Sure you are logged in as admin?

Fathom Zero I did that, but this is apparently not bound by those rules.

Dr. Boogie Can you go Control Panel -> Folder Options to reveal hidden files/folders like in XP?

Fathom Zero
Halp

Why are my program files permanently hidden? I thought I was the administrator.
