Pentegarn Nice find. Especially the battery add on.

Bet the seller expected more from that auction though

Mockery Just won an auction for a brand new CX360V at roughly $100 bux less than it sells for... plus the seller included an extra battery (which isn't cheap either). Really looking forward to shooting new videos with this thing!

Mockery Hah! Funny you found that one, cuz that's the exact one I've been looking at most. Was at a Sony store earlier today trying it out even. Seems pretty nice and has all the features I want. Been trying to find a good deal on it is all.

Thanks Dextire

dextire Hey, I think may have found a winner! The Sony HDR-CX360V High Definition Handycam.

-External mic input
-Built-in recording light and Low Lux Mode
-SD card input
-12x Optical zoom
-Built-in mic with wind noise reduction
-Digital Video Format: MPEG-2 ,AVCHD

I don't know anyone who has one, but most of the reviews are positive.
It's a suggestion anyway.

HD camcorder recommendations?

So I'm looking to get a compact HD camcorder to start doing more web videos with and wanted to know if any of you have suggestions on some good ones to check out. I don't have an exact budget in mind, but definitely would like to stay under 700-800 bux. Here's some of the things I'd like the camera to have:

-External mic input
-Built-in recording light for night footage
-SD card input
-Optical zoom
-Decent built-in mic with solid wind/noise reduction
-Outputs to a format that doesn't require some annoying codec. (.mp4 or .avi would be fine)

Photo snapshot quality doesn't really matter to me since I already have a good camera for taking photos. I've always been partial to Sony camcorders, but I'm really open to anything that works well enough.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have.
