What does it all mean? "The Passion Of The Christ movie maker Mel Gibson is considering ditching his support for American President George W Bush, after questioning his handling of the Iraq War. The star - who was born in America, but raised in Australia - is a staunch Republican, but admits he now has "doubts" about President Bush, in the build up to November's presidential election. Gibson says, "It's all to do with these weapons of mass destruction that we can't seem to find, and why did we go over there?" He maintained Bush had done much "good" during his office, but conceded he has been "having my doubts of late". He is by no means the first Hollywood star to call into question America's involvement in Iraq. Actors Dustin Hoffman, Sean Penn, Danny Glover, Martin Sheen, Susan Sarandon and director Martin Scorsese have all spoken out against the conflict. " This was taken from imdb, so it's probably a load anyway.

I like Mel Gibson. The only movies I've seen of his that I haven't liked are We Were Soldiers, Lethal Weapon Series and What Women Want. Hes probably been in more bad ones like that airforce one, but I haven't seen em'. Mad Max and Road Warrior are the greatest movies EVAR!!! |

Dang! Now I like him again! I used to like him back in the Mad Max days, and then I didn't like him becuase I thought he was just another action hero dumbass and then I liked him again because he was on the Simpsons and I was torn about him doing Hamlet becuae I thought he was arrogant as hell to do it but I think it's good to get Shakespeare into movie theaters and then I hated him again because of his gorefest approach to Jesus and his cavalier attitude toward fanning the flames of antisemitism, and now I havbe to like him again for this Bush thing!! DAMN YOU, FICKLE WISHY WASHY TENDENCY TO LIKE THINGS FOR THE WRONG REASON!! DAMN YOU!!!!! |

Serious question: who here likes Mel Gibson? Never been a big fan of Mel Gibson and I think the Passion was overrated. ....and yes. This thread belongs in this forum. |
