OddLockset I had the pleasure of viewing this film in the presence of George Romero himself a couple years ago, and I learned a couple interesting from him:

Leslie Nielsen's maniacal laugh has a funny story behind it. Leslie would carry a fart machine around on set, and activated it every time he needed to do his evil laugh.

Also, it's illegal to just go out and catch a bunch of cockroaches and use them in your film, apparently, so they got the cockroaches from a cave in a different country. The cave was so full of cockroaches that they just dug a hole and waited a brief amount of time for the hole to fill up with thousands of them.

J. Tithonus Pednaud The Crate was actually my favorite story from the series. I guess I am just a sucker for monsters. Have you seen the bastardization known as Creepshow III yet?

Capt.Confederacy "Creepshow" was a classic of the horror genre although the comic adaptation was creepier.

EchoCharlie There was a older set of short stories about cats taht scared the crap out of my friend when he was a kid so much he claims he didn't sleep alone for weeks. It had the guy from the Death Star (ashamed I can't remember his name) but he was in heaps of hammer films. Or it may have been Vincent Price himself that linked the stories - not sure. Anyway cats featured in all the stories and it was all pretty freaky...No I couldn't be vaguer ;-)

Neen Holy shit, I thought I dreamt the cat versus monster story... I gotta check that one out.

And I never looked a Nielson the same way after this movie.

Mockery Have I heard of it? I own it! I love the story starring James Woods about the company that helps people to quit smoking. Can't go wrong with the cat fighting the soul-stealing troll either. I'll never forget this simple life lesson: Fan Blade > Troll.

Stephen King wrote Cat's Eye too btw.

Fear N Loathing I'd say Creepshow was one of the best for an early 80's flick but there was another one I liked called "Cat's Eye" with Drew Barrymore in it (in lil girl mode) and it's got some good 'twisted' mindbending vignettes as well, much like the Creepshow saga... follows the story of a cat roaming around... ever heard of it RoG?

Ozzie Ah, "They're Creeping Up On You." More "racism is bad" from George Romero.

Dungeonbrownies I saw this before, and I say that leslie Nielson was pretty damn cool in this one. I'd have done the same, he thought it all out and everything, it was fantastic.

Stabhappy13 I'm surprised that you didn't mention the female lead in "Something to Tide You Over" was played by Gaylen Ross, from the original Dawn of the Dead!

Delirium Yes in the 2nd one there was an oil monster in the lake that ate all the kids. Probably one of the most painful scenes i have seen.

Nick I didn't care that the sequel only had three horror shorts.

Bejeebus Was there a part 2 where some kids were messing around on a floating platform and this sludge monster surrounds them and gobbles them up? Or am I in the Matrix?

El Sammo One of my friends is absolutely terrified of cockroaches, and we watched this movie at a little Halloween bash a few years ago. When we got to the old man and the roaches...she nearly vomited.

McFly "I WANT MY CAKE!!!!"

Delirium I think i was on the 3rd grade when i watched this with my dad, i didnīt think the crate story was bad because the monster was scary as shit. Too bad the sequel has less stories than this.
The dad who threw the kids comics away was such an asshole too.

Doctor_Who This movie is an unappreciated classic! The guy who drowns in roaches is the all time most disgusting thing I've ever seen in a movie. And seeing Stephen King act like a redneck is freaking hilarious.
