MY FAVORITE CHARACTER IN LOST IS ALDO.

He is the guy who came out ahead because he cut his losses and quit watching after season two.

ALDO IS A SERIAL KILLER.

that shows way too complicated

it just seems like bullshit to me

earlier in season 6, the episode that was ben centric, showed him talking to his dad in the flash sideways and his dad mentions "good thing we left that island when we did... blah blah blah..." this implies that in this timeline the bomb in 1977 blew up and caused this alternate reality. also, the island in the first episode is underwater, also implying that the bomb worked and destroyed it. the reason why i'm pissed is because there is a difference between a plot twist and lying to your audience, a line which i don't think the lost writers understand using somewhat ambiguous plot elements to move the story in one direction and then twist it for a surprise to your audience is fine, and also letting things unfold naturally via the characters or the story to have the same effect is also fine. but what they did here was heavy hand us information that was leading us down the wrong path. it's like the difference between the mysteries of the island and the mysteries of the flash sideways. the island had secrets and the people on it had secrets and they all kept it from us (the audience) because they didn't want other characters to know certain things at certain times etc. see, now that is the characters hiding things and that is totally fine. here, the writers have hidden things from us, and actually all of the characters do not know. yes they eventually "wake up" or whatever and realize but the audience is supposed to do that, not the entire fucking cast

The bomb was a red herring. It caused the incident they were trying to prevent, so there was never ever a split in the timeline. The underwater island was a symbol to show that it was inconsequential to getting everyone together in the end during the whole bullshit purgatory epilogue.

Everything make sense when the flash-sideways is perceived as completely fake, even the cheesy stuff like Sawyer and Miles being partners-in-crime, but that still doesn't mean it wasn't completely stupid

I bet if you dropped a bunch of acid it would all become clear as day.

It was wrapped up pretty nicely, for the most part. It was the last seven minutes or so that was terrible as hell for people like me who think that believing in God and an afterlife is the gayest thing ever

I liked how they showed they supported all religions with the pane glass in the church. I don't remember if they left a blank pane though.

i hate this fucking argument. do you honestly think that when ANY television show is being written they already know EXACTLY where the story is going? and people always say shit like "they are clearly making this up as they go along." really? NO FUCKING SHIT, THAT'S HOW WRITING WORKS YOU IDIOT

I would still think they have a general idea of where they want to take the show. What direction they want to move in.

Lost is like a pretentious hipster. They act like they know what happened in the past, pretend they know what he future holds for us, while stealing your money in the present.

i think pretty much what they thought the entire time was, "LETS TOTALLY FAKE THEM OUT" then at the end they were like, "WTF DO WE DO NOW?"

that sounds fucking stupid. in fact didn't they just rip off alladin and turn it backwards?
