Ok, I might be a lil' late with posting my figure McClain, looking forward to our final battle though. Raaaaar!

PAIN

Forgive me for asking, but isn't that Jesus NOT from Dogma? Everyone keeps making mention to it and the Buddy Christ.

Cap'n Crunch Mar 27th, 2003 05:48 PM

It doesn't look like the one from Dogma. I don't think they make the Dogma one in action-figure form.

McClain Mar 27th, 2003 05:54 PM

...

No, that's not Buddy Christ. But they do, in fact, make a figure for him though. This is just your run-of-the-mill, dime-store commonplace Jesus. It's made by Accoutrements.

Mockery Mar 27th, 2003 07:28 PM

Yeah there's a bunch of action figures of jesus that you can buy now. One company that makes a "jesus action figure" also makes a "sigmund freud action figure".

whoreable Mar 27th, 2003 07:38 PM

yea i saw that freud action figure not too long ago

James Mar 27th, 2003 08:01 PM

You're lucky people are stupid, McClain. If they had known it wasn't Buddy Christ/Dogma-related, you probably would have lost. ;(

Rongi Mar 27th, 2003 08:48 PM

Shut up :/

I also voted jesus cause I don't want to burn in HELL :rolleyes

Mockery Mar 27th, 2003 08:51 PM

You'll burn in hell anyway for thinking he was the jesus from a shitty movie.

Anonymous Mar 27th, 2003 08:53 PM

I thought I was the only person that hated Dogma.

Rongi Mar 27th, 2003 08:55 PM

I've already packed my bags for hell :(

Nope. I pretty much despise all of Kevin Smith's work after Clerks. And it's just getting worse and worse. I couldn't even finish Jay and Silent Bob because it sucked so badly...

whoreable Mar 27th, 2003 09:17 PM

i liked clerks the most. I really dont like any of the other movies although chasing amy was probaly the best :(

Mockery Mar 27th, 2003 09:24 PM

Chasing Amy was ok, but too many people rate that movie and mallrats far too high just because "it's a Kevin Smith flick". Fuck that. He had an awesome debut, but he's basically sucked ever since... which is pretty sad, considering he is a talented writer.

Zomboid Mar 27th, 2003 09:35 PM

THANK YOU! Clerks kicked total ass and is one of the funniest movies ever but everything after that got worse for each movie. Jay and silent bob strike back was fucking horrible. I'm sick of people not admitting they suck because it's by kevin smith >:

James Mar 28th, 2003 01:29 AM

I feel each one of his movie is a completely different style, and I take them all for what they are (just like you take Jason X for what it is). I'm the first to admit that his work isn't always a 10, but I still enjoy his movies and watch them more than all my other movies combined (with the exception of Chasing Amy, because I can't get it to work right on my DVD players). In fact, I watched Mallrats every day for 2 weeks straight.

As for Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back; I admit it's very cartoony and full of "stupid humor." But I still like watching it every now and then.

On a side note: The commentary for Mallrats, Chasing Amy, and Dogma is hilarious.

Uh, excuse me, that 'run-of-the-mill, dime-store commonplace' Jesus has built-in wheels, FYI >:

From http://www.mcphee.com/bigindex/current/10746.html :

Each hard plastic Jesus Action Figure stands 5" tall with poseable arms to reach toward the heavens and wheels in his base for smooth gliding action.

Hear that? Smooth gliding action. It's Jesus and a car all in one.
