look at metroid prime corruption, those graphics are quite sleek
fuck sorry :/ |
another thing i don't like about the conduit is the enemys they look like cheap ripoff of half life and starship troopers
|
i think the word ripoff is a little overused nowadays ifyouknowwhatimean ;)
|
To be fair, the game isn't even far into development; it doesn't even have a publisher yet.
|
Corruption's character models looked like crap, and that's pretty much my only complaint about the entire game.
Well, ok, it was a little too linear for a Metroid title, but that's seriously it. |
also suddenly I can see those Daikatana screenshots and now my quips lack a founding
god damnit |
The Wii has carved out a great niche that 360 and PS3 will never be able to wedge themselves into, no matter how hard they try. I don't think ports are really going to do anything for the system or its fanbase, especially since it absolutely is not technologically up to par with the other two. Now, a Wii-ification of titles like Dead Rising could be great fun, but not a straight port.
|
Dead Rising isn't incredibly impressive from a technical standpoint, though, so unless it's full of horrendous programming that requires CryEngine capable hardware to run it could work with a minimal amount of down dumbing.
God damnit. |
Yeah they should totally make a series of mini-games based on the Dead Rising universe.
Zombie bowling :lol Zombie head baseball :lol Super Mario's mini-game Zombie Adventure in time :lol |
Guys, remember that one time when I showed you No More Heroes and told you it would be fantastic, but you didn't believe me, and then later I was nothing but completely fucking right?
Trust me on this I also remember that one time when I first saw Mass Effect in action and thought it looked like a colossal shit mountain. Right about that, too. I've got a sixth sense for these kinds of things. |
I will acquiesce to GW's intuition on this one. However, with Nintendo's first party stuff and gems like Boom Blox and No More Heroes, I really don't see old Capcom titles as much of an attraction.
|
Mass Effect is great. I haven't tried no more heroes but I doubt that I will.
|
Eh, NMH's beauty rests in the eye of the beholder. Personally, I played through it twice, thought it was neat, and sold it back today for a PSP. Gamestop has my back on this, since they gave me more cash for Zelda DS : \
@pac-man: Mega Man 9 :D |
Mass Effect needed a lot more Wrex and Tali.
That's probably what the entire game should have been, actually, Wrex and Tali's Wonderous Adventure, Featuring Garrus. Also at least give No More Heroes a chance If you're not enjoying fighting a sexy, drunken moppet wielding a flaming baseball bat while she hits henchmen clad in bondage gear at you, you just aren't trying. |
Or it's just not your thing :E
|
Guitar Woman, naming some of the characters of Mass Effect isn't fooling anyone into believing that you've actually played it.
|
If the game had allowed me to actually play it I probably would have gotten off of the Citidel, but two hours of it was really enough.
|
Right so you admit you have no fucking idea what is contained within 95% of the game?
Y'know - the less important parts like the story, combat, character development and all of the other levels. |
The combat is mostly the reason why I couldn't play the fucking thing. I also tend to stop caring about a game when it doesn't get interesting after 2 hours; the exception for this being Silent Hill, since it only really stops sucking once you get to the hospital.
|
So what you're saying is because YOU couldn't figure out the combat system the whole game must suck?
Ever consider that you just suck? |
Well, yes, but it's hard to be good at something when it's that fucking broken.
Of couse, you won't accept this, and I'm not going to try to convince you. Mass Effect was not fun for me, and I usually am hardcore gay for Bioware. A friend and I played through KOTOR three times in almost a single sitting, for christ's sake |
I've spoken to several people that played it on 360 and they all said it was great. Personally I played it on PC and it was also great - no problem with the combat whatsoever. In fact, though it was one of the game's best features.
I dare say you're in the minority on this one which brings me back to you sucking - not the game. Even if I were to concede the point about combat (which I don't) you're completely ignoring everything else that made the game great. So Mass Effect is a "colossal shit mountain" because you couldn't figure out the combat in the first level? Is this that "logical opinion" you've been telling me about? |
Ok, get this. I don't like Mass Effect. The characters didn't appeal to me; I disliked most of them, save for the aformentioned two. The combat was almost a carbon copy of Gears of War, a game I found to be incredibly dull and stupid. Since my teammates were dedicated to stopping my every shot when I was trying the tired old cover-pop-shoot-cover thing, I ended up charging everyone with shotguns. It worked pretty well since apparently the other guys aren't expecting this, ever.
Nothing about the game's story interested me after playing it for two hours, and this is generally not a good sign. I quit, because I honestly found every other 360 game at my disposal to be more interesting. |
Woops. I clicked "LET'S ARGUE ABOUT VIDEO GAMES" instead of "E3 2008".
Wait, I did click E3 2008 :X Let's talk about E3 2008. I think it sucked and I'm more excited for the next DICE or PAX. |
