11. My halo cd has disapeared (think i lent it to someone)

I do like Halo. A lot. I don't think it's the best FPS I've ever played, but if any company's earned the RESPEK, it's Bungie.

And now to debunk RainbowMilitia's list.

-1. The storyline
-Is WAY, WAY better than Half-Life's, plus draws on the huge history and plot of the Marathon series (story.marathon.org)

2. The graphics
-Are perfect for what they're trying to do, and will run reasonably on a mediocre system

3. The gameplay
-Is so much better than Half-Life's that it's almost hilarious, but seriously, every game since has adapted to use Halo's controls, so, yeah.

4. The sounds
-Are hilarious, fantastic, and clever (hey, it's a mark 5!)

5. The missions
-Are trite, but at least it has missions, unlike half-life.

6. The box art
-Was good

7. The CDs
-Were shiny

8. The fact it was made by omg M$$$

why you attacking half-life chojin?

im not going to start going all fanboy on half-life but its hardly the closest thing to halo in terms of gameplay.

I'm going at midnight to get Halo 2. It's not like I want to stand out in the cold just for a game I can't even play until I come home from school the next day, but if I don't go, they're going to run out of copies :(

It seems that most of you can't like but one or the other, Halo or Half-Life. Well, news flash, they're both amazing and gaming milestones, and the majority of people that feel like they have to insult one or the other either have too much time or are just trying to go against the grain.

Halo was a milestone for XBox I guess. Yeah, when it came out for pc is was like, "Oh my god, faptastic!" Now it's just... meh. Reinstalled it, multiplay still sucks. No co-op mode. >:

its pretty cool having a large quantity of players online, so thers no problem loading up 3 people onto a warthog and going nuts

crap. i'm going to a halo 2 party tonight, just to see whats up. i dont like halo, but i dont like FPS at all. the only reason i like HL is because my roommate had thoes 3d glasses things that make the game 3d...
