Just started taking a painting class. First time using oils ever. This was a 40 minute or so still life practice.

sweeeet stuff dude. i dig the various styles.

Really nice start on the oils, damn good observation on lighting

would look better with a value edge all along the right side and bottom rather than just the shoulder

I'll never be good at anything as you guys are at arts. :(

Try to avoid outlining when painting. It's all tone versus tone that makes it work, and you've seriously gotten a great start on it so far. I can't wait to see more practices!

This is the first time I've ever 'doodled' with paint. I had an old canvas and just started painting from my brain. Painting is pretty fun. 3rd ever oil painting.
