Been dealing with a sinus infection for 2 whole months. I told my doctor to just cut me open and rip the bone out where all this gunk is getting stuck. Feels like my skull is too big for my head and it's gonna pop most of the time. He wants to keep trying different antibiotics that make me shitty sick and can't go in the sun. I have a reason to be down. I'm not though. Just playing lots of video games.

I once backed into a child when I was in a grocery store parking lot and just barely pushed her over I was going so slow. The kid fell while holding her mom's hand. Her mom didn't notice til it was too late and I had pulled forward after realizing I bumped the kid. She thought the kid was just making a scene and spanked her. I felt pretty bad, but with how sue happy people are these days, felt better than I would have if she had noticed.

I'm waiting to see what happens with all the fires around central texas. I wasn't worried at all until I went outside and it smelled funny and the air looked hazy everywhere you look. so i think im gonna build a new pc this weekend to replace my current 7-8 years old pile of crap

anyone have any suggestions as to what sort of setup i should get that's relatively inexpensive/easy to put together but that will still be able to run new games a couple years down the road (esp. with upgrades)

Runs like a breeze, though I'd like more RAM. The motherboard's incapable of adding more, though. I expect it'll be the next thing I upgrade.

I should mention that all this was incremental - if I bought all the parts at once, it would've cost me something in the realm of $450. I suspect it can be had for less now. The video card hasn't depreciated, though.

I was on the Dean's List, though, which meant I was the most popular person there...right? :(

my "college experience" was one year at west virginia university. i was in the wildlife&fisheries management program because i expected to have classes that went outside regularly (i had one that had an outdoor lab every week and another that had maybe five outdoor labs total which were mostly just lectures in a clearing) and instead i just sat and listened to hunters talk about hunting and learned about the pittman-robertson act and duck stamps and i failed things miserably because i didn't care enough to do projects or after a while attend classes

but when you have a dendrology lab led by somebody who has never studied trees and takes a group of camo-wearers into a forest and says "dr. whatever marked this spot on the map because apparently there's a river birch here but i haven't been able to find it." really? you haven't been able to find this tree, right here, that is obviously a birch, and is on the bank of this creek? i'm supposed to learn how to identify trees from some ditz that can't find a birch in a forest of fucking hickory? :(
