Dimnos Sep 11th, 2012 11:34 AM

I find myself with $10 credit on steam. What should I get?

Fathom Zero Sep 11th, 2012 01:42 PM

Keys

I'd say go with Orcs Must Die if you've yet to play it.

k0k0 Sep 13th, 2012 01:00 PM

Bayonetta 2 is a WiiU exclusive. I don't want to buy that piece of crap nintendo console to play a series that I really love. Sucks balls.

darkvare Sep 13th, 2012 01:11 PM

i don't see anything good about playing a game like bayonetta with that stupid tv controller or the lame ass wii remote

Dimnos Sep 13th, 2012 01:21 PM

Bayonetta :lol

Dr. Boogie Sep 13th, 2012 10:18 PM

"Bayonetta's getting a sequel..."

Yay!

"Exclusively for the WiiU."

Aw.

monster_movie_night Sep 14th, 2012 09:55 PM

Do you think the God of War series was an epic game to play during the weekends?
Was anyone one of you guys amazed by Ancient Arts here.
I on the other hand can feel the vibe over the musics as one battle appear to be stunning while the others is a smooth trip.
I just need honest opinion here.

I dunno. Seems like a decent system. The problem is, it's five years late. If there were more exclusive games and the price was lower, I might consider getting one.

k0k0 Sep 16th, 2012 05:03 AM

I admit that even though I don't like the controller, if it were 150 dollars, I'd buy it. But they're asking for a high price on a system that doesn't do anything much better than this generation's graphics. I hope more sequels don't go for wiiu only exclusivity because I don't see myself buying one unless it is a lower price and the specs are higher than they've shown.

This is still what I think of when people talk about the Wii U.

Just wanted to put it out there that Amazon is running a Gold Box special on Sleeping Dogs until 1pm PST.

Nick Sep 26th, 2012 12:58 AM

Doc, did you see the super jewish DLC they had out for Sleeping Dogs? Who in their right mind would pay for DLC that beats the game for you?

Dr. Boogie Sep 26th, 2012 02:13 AM

With the envelopes full of extra money and cop/triad xp? Yeah, pretty weak. It's one thing to buy stuff like that in an MMO to try and mitigate the grind a little, but you shouldn't have any trouble getting that stuff in that game. Triad xp was a little tricky because you could only get it in story missions, but even then, the right clothes would have you maxed out before the game was over.

Nick Sep 26th, 2012 09:04 AM

Yeah, lame stuff. Not to mention the one for $300,000 with the high roller outfit you get from the story and fastest car DLC.

darkvare Sep 27th, 2012 02:19 PM

i don't see why you guys are surprised EA has been doing this for years (ok probably a year)

Dr. Boogie Sep 27th, 2012 09:19 PM

I'm not really surprised, just disappointed: The only replayability in the game is for collectibles and experience, so why pay to negate that?

Faster cheevos, I guess.

kahljorn Sep 28th, 2012 05:53 PM

but they dont want you to replay the same game, they want you to go out and buy another game

Dr. Boogie Sep 28th, 2012 10:10 PM

But given the choice, they'd rather sell you one game and get you to pay for little digital add-ons like DLC. It's cheaper to make those than it is to make a new game.

k0k0 Oct 5th, 2012 02:28 PM

When I go to the midnight release of dishonored, the bethesda people are going to be there to sign all the copies of the game. I don't want my copy signed by some code monkey. I do however want the free stuff they are handing out. So it kind of balances itself.

darkvare Oct 7th, 2012 01:24 AM

take a shitty game or comic book and ask them to sign that instead

I'm fine with little DLC packages like the 80's set they had up. Small doses of new content is A-okay with me. That other stuff not so much.

Holy fuck

Holy fuck

Take my money, take all of it. I can't believe I've not heard of this already.

Nick Dec 3rd, 2012 11:54 PM

Yep, it's looking good. I'm totally gonna pick it up when it comes out. The DS version hit Japan back in 2010, and the PS3 version was out last year. Seems we're finally going to get the PS3 version next Jan. The looks like the DS one will never make it, though.
