Sacks' Bandwagon Doodles'n Crap Thread
Some of these might be in other threads, I don't remember.
UPDATE: Finished? (30x40 inch charcoal) (Not sure what Tadao was using on the pieces in his thread but it looked similar to the ink and water solution I was using on this, only with a brush instead of a stick.) Laaaaiid back. |
HIGH FIVE

UPTOWN BRO

GODDAMN THOSE ARE NICE
i hate the look of charcoal but you made it good D:
(Not sure what Tadao was using on the pieces in his thread but it looked similar to the ink and water solution I was using on this, only with a brush instead of a stick.)
It's probablly the same. I scrape ink into a well and add a little water and brush. It's what they use to draw chineses/japanese characters. I love your work BTW. |
That chalk Charles Bronson looks good enough to hang in a museum.
love the INK-&-ANIMAL SKULL.
thumbs up! |
I demand more awesome mongoloid cartoon characters
Even though it may have been a school project, I really like the way you handled the white on black paper technique, and I think you should play around with it some more <3
It's actually a big poster board kind of thing that I blacked completely out with charcoal and started erasing. I liked it a lot and I'll definitely do it again.
I like it a lot, too! Do more of it!
Very cool. Is the 3rd one down Henry Rollins?
Yep. He's breaking through a stone wall and I think I'm going to have him screaming at Nosferatu.
Sad looks like Tom Waits.
Waits is above hip hop Reagan?
Yeah, is that Waits?
Yep
Sacks, when you add art to your thread, please do so in a new post in this thread, so people are notified when you have a new piece up :>
That's seriously messed up. But cool...in a scary kind of way.
Goulet On The Rocks
Photobucket is trying to shut down my Goulet!
why? I can't see anything explicitly NSFW
That's what I was saying loudly at my computer screen.
Seems like you're winning so far.
Listen, you fuckers, you screwheads. Here is a man who would not take it anymore. A man who stood up against the scum, the cunts, the dogs, the filth, the shit. Here is a man who stood up. |
Is he winking?:lol
Sorry, but those words, with that picture, weeeellllll... |
Here in this place lies the genie of death Touch it, see it Whoa Here in this place is a means to your end Touch it, feel it Green Koi |
I'd like that on a t-shirt.
That's what my brother said. SOUNDS LIKE IT'S TSHIRT TIME.
I think it's the green-ness. I like it.
and have HERE IN THIS PLACE LIES THE GENIE OF DEATH in big arial black on the back
I agree with Rez!
The beast has come to claim a youth. |
Of course I'm going to like that one. But even if I wasn't a fan of bunbuns the quality is awesome. The bird looks as lifeless as if you had a dead one infron't of you, and the bunny has that crazed fresh kill stance and look in his eyes. I'm wondering if you used something for reference.
Well I looked at some pictures of rabbits and dead birds, if that's what you mean.
No rabbit has crazy eyes :(
The crazy eyes are from a childhood incident I had at a bunny farm. :(
Doodles to go. This one is pretty self explanatory. The David Bowiest Lee Marvin Thinking about starting my comic back up again. I don't think anyone on here ever went to my website and looked at the last one though. Bear is angry. |

The picture on the shirt is essentially the cover of Badfish but drawn and colored better |
Wait nevermind, must be seeing shit
Well they're certainly both Koi if that is what you mean.
Looking at your art I feel right at home. Never commiting to any one style is so much fun.
Stuff from figure drawing. I wish we had longer than 45 minutes for each pose. |
Doodledoodledoodledoo |
SACKS.
I appreciate your continued posting during my absence. Sincerely yours, Art Mod MLE <3 |
I must've went on vacation and missed that last post.
I would have said AWESOME |
That CD makes me want to dance.

Here is a taste of things to come due to the classes I'm in. |
Ooooh, designy!
I was getting some hatch on and thought about that hatchin' ass fool Gus. Where did that guy go? |
He faded away without warning.
We never got the ball rolling on the illustrated story project I wanted to do with people. As I recall, you did a couple things, tooooo. As a matter of fact, my fave: It's funny, because he started off as disfigured in my head. |
I JUST WANT THIS POST TO EXIST SO WHEN I KILL MYSELF AND THEY SEARCH MY INTERNET HISTORY TO FIND OUT WHY THEY WILL KNOW IT WAS BECAUSE I WAS SO STUPID AND STARTED THIS OVERLY INTRICATE TIME VAMPIRE. |
That is fucking amazing! Is that ink on paper?
Yes it was the worst idea I ever had.
I think it would make a good mural.
Is it something that could only be completed once in a lifetime, but that person is now dead and there will never be another but someday there will be scientists in the future that will try to replicate his techniques but fail miserably and there will be government agents sent to stop them and when the agents get there they come across a room of failed experiments and say "OMG WTF IS THIS SHIT" but then they get to the head evil scientist and he gives a long-winded speech about how it is for the better of mankind to try and recreate something so beautiful?
I mean, is it kinda like that? |
Here is some random crap.
The rabbit with the bird in it's mouth is on the next page and his face makes it looks like there are huge wax lips going on. |
The drawing from your last post looks like a psychedelic shootout, with the criminals trying to flee the scene. You can see the two bank vaults have been blown out. The angular red thing in the back must be their getaway vehicle, with an arrow line drawn in advance so they wouldn't get lost. They didn't make it though. The one on the left is full of holes, the one on the right is full of quadrilaterals and the one in the middle conflagrated into a surreal shadow of Hiroshima.

I like the silhouetted figures of patterns
This is the first time I've ever painted something. It was pretty unpleasant. |
oooh, I like that one
It's lonely out in space. |
Could we get a high quality pic of that, preferably desktop sized? :3
I AGREE
I... I wanna hang your stuff all over my house, man.

Someone spilled salsa all over moon panda before he could be scanned :<. RIP MP

Random doodling. |
Just started taking a painting class. First time using oils ever. This was a 40 minute or so still life practice. |
sweeeet stuff dude. i dig the various styles.
Really nice start on the oils, damn good observation on lighting
would look better with a value edge all along the right side and bottom rather than just the shoulder |
I'll never be good at anything as you guys are at arts. :(
Try to avoid outlining when painting. It's all tone versus tone that makes it work, and you've seriously gotten a great start on it so far. I can't wait to see more practices!
3 more days on that dumb still life.
I thought it was a gesture, didnt know it was a proper still life
This is all to try and figure out a bunch of different crap. Different stuff next week.
Shading looks a little weird.
But it's easy to be a critic. :( |
Are you talking about the fleshy looking one? Because I got bored and made it look like disgusting bruises.
Greaser doodles.
The first dude is badass.
things do not look good for mustache bear :(
This is the first time I've ever 'doodled' with paint. I had an old canvas and just started painting from my brain. Painting is pretty fun. 3rd ever oil painting. |
damn, that's a beautiful blue.
Da.
