turtle guy- pg 3

**this be gone now**

James Mar 11th, 2003 04:09 AM

What was this done in? It kind of looks like pastels andcharcoal pencil.

FS Mar 11th, 2003 10:05 AM

I was expecting a photo of a baby wearing a shirt with the subject's text on it, for some reason. :(

Captain Robo Mar 11th, 2003 06:28 PM

The hand... it's very wierd looking (if you don't mind me saying)

Cool though.

But where's his bling bling?

glowbelly Mar 12th, 2003 09:35 AM

absolutely love the color scheme on this, doopa. i like how the piece of fruit (i think it's fruit) and the girl's lips match...it's tres suggestive. the only thing that freaks me out is the girl's front arm. it seems awkward, like there's no bone in it or something.

Anonymous Mar 12th, 2003 01:04 PM

Thanks I was trying to find a way to combine grey marker and then add color with a different medium to see if that would work. Still testing and getting very frustrated

Protoclown Mar 13th, 2003 08:14 PM

I like the pimp's hand.

Especially when he hits me with it and is all like "YO! WHERE MY MONEY AT BITCH???" :(

n0skillz gamer Mar 14th, 2003 07:41 PM

I like it... but, is the pimp trying to give his hoe an apple?

James Mar 14th, 2003 07:45 PM

Didn't you ever hear the saying, "An apple a day keeps the dentist away?"

He's giving her an apple so that she doesn't suffer from any dental hygiene issues. After all, only the hoes with a full grill get top doller for oral.

n0skillz gamer Mar 15th, 2003 09:02 AM

makes sense, yet I would think a women with no teeth would feel better... just the gums on my cock :/

James Mar 15th, 2003 10:33 AM

I don't think you'll need to ever worry about that.

n0skillz gamer Mar 15th, 2003 10:40 AM

well... thats a good point :(

Fookin Flappy Mar 15th, 2003 12:50 PM

I like this piece, it's actually one of the better pieces I've ever seen to tell you the truth.. The facial expressions are perfect.

Anonymous Mar 20th, 2003 02:29 AM

Pub Lover Mar 20th, 2003 06:38 AM

Nice Picture. :)

Edit: :/

The Unseen Mar 20th, 2003 06:52 AM

You should totally make a fighting game with these guys, now that would be the shit

James Mar 20th, 2003 08:25 AM

Fookin Flappy Mar 23rd, 2003 10:49 AM

The Bellydancer is an awesome drawing. I hope your either in art school or plan on doing this professionally. Great stuff :rock

Anonymous Mar 23rd, 2003 02:59 PM

pub - you didn't need to edit that. I saw what you posted I just couldn't think of anything to say but "thanks" (which seemed like a lame response) :(

flappy - you made me laugh and cry and laugh and cry

FS Mar 23rd, 2003 05:50 PM

I love the 'evil' look on the bellydancer. Goes very well with the veiled face. Those are casta.... cas... castagnet... small Spanish clicky things on the fingers of her right hand, right?

Anonymous Mar 28th, 2003 03:38 AM

that is correct

Cap'n Crunch Mar 30th, 2003 04:10 AM

I think it looks good. I can draw cartoons really good, if anyone wants to see, but i never tried pastels. Good work.

Captain Robo Mar 30th, 2003 06:35 PM

I melted some pastels together in the microwave :(

Anonymous Apr 15th, 2003 11:34 PM

pointless quick shit in an attempt to break the monotony of something else I've been doing.

I'm depressed.

**this be gone now**

James Apr 15th, 2003 11:43 PM

"I'm depressed."

So am I, but I don't have the ability to vent through art, because I can't draw for shit. Which then makes me more depressed, because I'd love to be an artist and writer for a prefessional career. :(

Oh, yeah. The picture looks good too. Either the eyes of the nose seems just a little off, though. I can't place it. But still, it's a very nice job.

glowbelly Apr 16th, 2003 09:21 AM

her neck looks wrong.

james? just draw. stop complaining that you aren't any good and just draw. you aren't going to get any better crying over your supposed lack of talent.

Ninjavenom Apr 16th, 2003 02:25 PM

Refine your skills, James, old boy. I'm starting from scratch and teaching myself how to draw everything again, because i wasn't satisfied with my style. Just be observant, and eventually you can draw anything. Anyone can, it's just a matter of attention to detail.

sloth Apr 16th, 2003 04:08 PM

I've been doing the same thing. However cliched it is, just looking around you and drawing what you see is really important when you come to draw from your imagination.
Check out http://www.scrapbookmanifesto.com - 'cartoons' doesn't really do his work justice, but the pictures he draws from imagination have a great sense of depth and perspective. If you check his retro section, you can see the development of his style over time.

James Apr 16th, 2003 05:53 PM

How about fuck you? This is for Doopa's pretty pictures, not for people to tell me what I can and can't do. If you want to give me your pity, make a separate thread! >:

Doopa does very wonderful pictures. :)

Anonymous Apr 16th, 2003 10:46 PM

this day is over.

James Apr 16th, 2003 11:45 PM

The best response I can give:

Mockery Apr 17th, 2003 03:17 PM

I love that pic. It made me lol cuz it speaks the truth.

And I swear the building in it says "Fag".

:fagbuilding

o.O

Anonymous Apr 17th, 2003 10:04 PM

it said "fab" :(

and jamesman/ninjav and whoever else, you guys should start a thread and make yourselves post something in it everyday (not self anger passive agressive shit like mine though. be serious). you could even make uhh topics "tonight we draw bananas". anyway... sometimes that kind of thing can motivate you more because other people are also doing it and if you didn't post like everyone else you are a big fat jerk. and then you can all help each other out.

*ZAP image gone* (I may put it up somewhere sometime later since people seemed to like it)

Ninjavenom Apr 17th, 2003 10:23 PM

Say, that's actually a pretty good idea. :)

I like that guy on the left, too, because i imagine he can mangle people in some horrible way with that vacuum. 8-)

James Apr 17th, 2003 11:32 PM

If I could actually bring myself to scan and upload the stuff I end up drawing, instead of placing it somewhere to forget about it (like the trash), that would be a good idea.

Speaking of things that are good, this new picture is very sexy. Sketches for a bigger project?

Anonymous Apr 18th, 2003 12:02 AM

no they are just..ways I self discipline. same as anything I will post in here

James Apr 18th, 2003 12:13 AM

I really could see them as being characters (prominent or just background) for something bigger. Like Nightmare Before Christmas, but not. Know what I mean?

I don't suppose I could persuade you to do more with these guys?

AChimp Apr 18th, 2003 12:14 AM

OMG. These are the best pictures ever!!! :(

Anonymous Apr 19th, 2003 01:13 AM

I'll think about it

today I didn't get any work done because someone wasn't feeling good >:(
but i did do this scribbly

*images gone*

this will be the last for a while i think... try not to cry everyone

Protoclown Apr 19th, 2003 01:58 AM

God damn you are talented

James Apr 19th, 2003 02:04 AM

For some reason, I see a little bit of you in that picture. Very nice job, once again.

liquidstatik Jun 30th, 2003 01:38 PM

OMG :love

Ninjavenom Jun 30th, 2003 04:08 PM

What do you draw all of this stuff on?

Rongi Jun 30th, 2003 04:21 PM

The hands are a little big and the chin looks kinda odd. Aside from that I love it :o

liquidstatik Jun 30th, 2003 04:35 PM

I kinda like the huge hands :/

!?

Please tell me you're not that dense.

Anonymous Jul 2nd, 2003 02:15 PM

venom - it really depends on the drawing or painting. I use a lot of different materials. That drawing was prisma markers on bristol

whoreable Jul 2nd, 2003 03:20 PM

i like the adoreable little squrriel on his sholder.

Zomboid Jul 3rd, 2003 06:51 PM

Stylish :love . I like it as much as the night elf. He looks like he can beat the crap outta anyone that messes with his squirrel buddy.

Pub Lover Aug 27th, 2003 01:43 PM

Doopa, it's been almost two months, could you be showing us more of your most excellent art? :)
