Puppy names! :D

I'm getting a puppy today, but I don't know what to name it. Sooo, you guys should give me some ideas.

Cute & humorous names would be great!

MarioRPG Jul 26th, 2006 05:30 PM

Or at least description.

liquidstatik Jul 26th, 2006 05:33 PM

Raziel Jul 26th, 2006 05:38 PM

Mockery Jul 26th, 2006 05:38 PM

Gorlack the Destroyer.
(because Glowbelly was too cowardly to name her son that, and now he's gonna get his ass beat on the playground as a result)

Raziel Jul 26th, 2006 06:02 PM

Augustus is a great name for a dog, you should go with that. Plus if you get angry at him augustus is an angry word just picture it in your head AU GUST US! as gutteral as possible.

DamnthatDavid Jul 26th, 2006 09:49 PM

I second the motion.

Shifty Jul 26th, 2006 10:27 PM

executioneer Jul 26th, 2006 10:30 PM

no dude save that name for your illegitimate bastard child

DeadKennedys Jul 27th, 2006 02:26 AM

Paws Malone... kinda has that film noir private eye flair, but with a dash of adorable

if he's an ass and tears up the furniture I think Nero would be a good name

Jeff The Ninja Jul 27th, 2006 05:38 PM

How about "Moe". Augustus seems like too long of a Name for a Dog. Unless you Trained it to Poop on your Neighbours Lawn.

"Augustus, Finish doing your buisness and come inside for Alpo!"

liquidstatik Jul 27th, 2006 06:33 PM

yay i found out im getting a pit bull. because i'm a badass.

yeah and nothing's short for augustus right

Grislygus Jul 28th, 2006 05:07 PM

Whichever name you choose, it should probably be short, and have hard consonants in it (easier for the dog to learn its name).

For example, a name like "Killjoy" has two hard consonants and two syllables, and therefore would be (training- and control-wise) a superior name to something like 'Ulysses'.

Remember, if the shit hits the fan, you want a name that you can yell out fast and clear.

Courage the Cowardly Dog Jul 28th, 2006 09:01 PM

courage?

Sicktodeathmx Jul 28th, 2006 09:54 PM

Radar is a good name.

AUGUSTUSIVSON BONAPARTE!

All my animals have complex, proper and quite long names and respond to all of them and other things.[/b]

Give it a wussie-cutsie name for the irony value. Like Cuddles or Sweetie or something.

Barring that, you could call him Buster.

I wante to name our dog Durkheim, but my parents nixed it. >:

sadie Aug 1st, 2006 10:26 AM

i thought puppies had to wait until they were six weeks old to be weaned.

Gurlugon Aug 1st, 2006 11:42 AM

I have a Basset hound named Petunia. The people at the pound claimed her name was "Chomper," so needless to say, my family decided to give her a far worse name. :(

ArrowX Aug 1st, 2006 01:27 PM

GORSE

My favorite puppy name is "Styx" (sticks)

Esuohlim Aug 1st, 2006 01:48 PM

Thank you I think I speak for the rest of us when I say that I'm glad you told us how to pronounce that. Fag. >:

Here are MY suggestions:

Señor Barky
Sir Lucius McPitbull
Odie Arbuckle

And maybe Evelyn, but only if it's modified. :(

Pub Lover Aug 3rd, 2006 10:14 PM

Why do you need a dog, Danny?

Are you blind?

Or did you just buy a farm?

A dog is for dinner, not for keeping. >:

liquidstatik Aug 3rd, 2006 10:20 PM

I DONT HAVE A GIRLFRIEND ;(
