cause its old as shit :( does it show anything on the screen when it's on, or does it show the same thing on or off, cause if it's doing anything to the display it's prob. a bad connection somewhere between the cartridge and the rest of it, you could try cleaning the cartridge / wiggling it a little once it's plugged in

Nope, almost no different when it's plugged in correctly and on the correct channel. The static changes slightly, but the connections have been used with other retro systems and have been proven to work.

yeah it's probably broke then :( it may have caught a power spike or somesuch in the year it was plugged in and unattended and gotten fried, or something
