Good as new DELL laptop 500$
Windows 2000 Professional, biatch.

You need to reinstall windows though and I don't have the disk to do it.

This is for just the laptop, no accessories or anything, that's why it's going so cheap.

It's 2-3 years old.

PM if you wanna buy ;)

executioneer Jan 19th, 2005 09:17 PM

ugh idk 500 seems a little steep for a 2-3 year old laptop :/

The Unseen Jan 19th, 2005 10:28 PM

I actually stole it and don't know how old it is because I can't log on.

Hence, Windows needing to be reinstalled.

It looks pretty good though.

How about 400$ ;)

executioneer Jan 19th, 2005 11:00 PM

exactly how stolen are we talking about here

executioneer Jan 19th, 2005 11:06 PM

and what model dell laptop

executioneer Jan 19th, 2005 11:10 PM

and does no accessories mean no battery

GADZOOKS Jan 20th, 2005 12:20 AM

No it means he broke off the monitor part and youll have to buy your own.

executioneer Jan 20th, 2005 12:27 AM

lol that would definitely be a price drop >:

although most modern laptops have monitor outs too so it wouldnt be UNUSABLE just not as portable as it should be :x

MLE Jan 20th, 2005 12:57 AM

how about some pictures, and a litsting of actual parts. if you can't get into the laptop, we don't even know how big the hard drive is or anything, which are definete necessities for knowing how much it's worth.

i have a vaio, but it's so small that it's really only worth about $1000. it's in great condition, but i put it at that worth cause it's so portable. it's smaller than most textbooks, easily. it's less than an inch thick, and less than a pound.

not that it matters, cause i'm not selling mine.

but really... we need specs. you can go into the bios and find out if you can't get into windows.

executioneer Jan 20th, 2005 01:53 AM

yea seriously, more details plz

Shh, he'll take that out too now. Hell, he'll probably only mail you a microchip now.

The Unseen Jan 20th, 2005 07:43 AM

Aiight, I'll go find out the specs somehow

I don't know much about laptops but when I got I pulled out the internet cord and a some cord that plugs into the wall (to power the laptop)

It's for use with adapter model PA-6 ;)

It's tested to comply with FCC standards and it's FOR HOME AND OFFICE USE ONLY

It's Pentium III, dudes!

I found this on ebay and it's the same model.

The unit you are placing your bid on is in excellent condition. Beautiful system with factory battery and AC power supply/charger.

System model # C610 PP01L
Windows XP Home Edition with Reinstallation CD
1200 Mhz (1.2Ghz)
Intel Pentium III
512 MB ram
6.14 GB Hard drive
Internal CD Rom
Internal 3.5" Floppy drive
14" Color monitor
Very light use, Very clean. Ready for any application or use you have.

inventory number 101189-1

I don't think mine has a floppy drive though?

Looks just like that.

The Unseen Jan 20th, 2005 07:53 AM

I went into BIOS and my stats are better than the cheap assholes on ebay

Here ya go

Pentium III 700/550 mhz
CPU speed= 700 mhz
Level 2 cache= 256 kb
system memory= 256 MB
Video controller= ATI M3
Video memory= 8 MB
Audio Controller= ESS Maestro 3
Hard Drive= 20.05 GB
CDRW Drive (means you can burn cds ;))

Hope that helps.

The Unseen Jan 20th, 2005 07:55 AM

And it has a battery built in because it said it was charging when I plugged it in.

I ran into someones office, gripped it and ripped it.

pjalne Jan 20th, 2005 04:17 PM

If that is true, you are retarded.

Really, someone should beat you up.

The Unseen Jan 20th, 2005 05:30 PM

Not as retarded as someone who didn't get a free laptop :rolleyes

MLE Jan 20th, 2005 06:43 PM

no one should buy this because it's just encouraging you to steal. >:

plus, you'd be making money off of doing something that you seriously should be jailed for. that laptop's worth enough to make that higher than petty theft.

Dulled by Excess Jan 20th, 2005 07:24 PM

The only real flaw in this obviously well-planned scheme is that this newly-stolen laptop most likely has an integrated NIC. That integrated NIC is assigned a unique MAC address. For brevity's sake, I'll spare you the explanation of how IP address resolution works, but suffice it to say that this laptop is traceable by it's MAC address anytime it's connected to the internet. You just have to ask yourself this question - "Would the owner have reported it stolen?"

It's also worth stating that while it's possible for you to still get caught, it's not entirely probable. You just have to decide if you're willing to take that chance.

Oh, there is one last thing to keep in mind...

Karma's a bitch.

The Unseen Jan 21st, 2005 12:24 PM

I'm not going to give a lot of details but it's definantely insured by the state so the people of nh are paying for it. (and probably for a new one)

I'm donating half the money to tsunami relief fund guys, I'm like robin hood.

GADZOOKS Jan 21st, 2005 12:28 PM
