The Super Bowl XLIII thread
To start us off, a little picture

Let's go Cards!
|
:(
I get no love. |
i'm transfering to swaggin state
|
Meh, I'll take a field goal.
I, for one, cannot wait for Bruce Springsteen. |
Quote:
First quarter down, and if I am the D-coordinator for the Cards, I am screaming at the sloppy tackling I am seeing. They better get their shit together or the Steelers are gonna make this very ugly very fast. |
Quote:
I THINK I SAW JEROME BETTIS IN A COMMERCIAL. |
Great pass, retard.
|
Hell of an end to the half. Can't help but be impressed by that return.
|
17-7 going into the half. I think the Cards will still win.
|
wow that int broke Arizona's heart
|
These commercials have been lame as fuck. I haven't seen a single one that made me even chuckle.
|
The Crystal Ball one from Doritos was pretty good
|
How does the wire haired goblin go from this:
To this: |
Adrian Wilson really fucked that up for the Cardinals. Looks like the Steelers will go up by 17.
|
Wow, just when the Steelers appear to get out of the end zone they get tabbed for holding and a safety.
|
HOLY FUCK FITZGERALD TAKES IT TO THE HOUSE!!!
|
No matter how this ends it is pound for pound the ugliest Super Bowl I have ever watched
|
I'll remember this game as being very exciting. One of the better Super Bowls i've seen.
|
Woo, damn.
|
Very good game, terrible outcome. Better luck next year, Arizona. :\
|
:lol it seemed like it was going to be one of those last 10 second miracle wins for arizona, then all of a sudden they fumbled and pittsburgh picked it up for the win.
I bet the QB for arizona's gonna feel like shit forever |
I'm curious as to why the refs didn't bother to review the fumble at the end. The call probably would of been upheld but to have an extremely important play that sealed the game, and not review it, is asinine.
|
I was kinda surprised about that too, was thinking they'd call pass interference or something
|
I was antipicating to witness the first successful, game winning hail mary pass in the history of superbowl but it turned out to be disasterious for the cards. Still an epic game, tho

I saw that Cash4Gold and said "That's not a super bowl commercial!!"
And it is. WOW. The half-second commercial was my favorite though. And of course, Dairy Queen. Maybe the food isn't great but their commercials are fucking class. And I'm tired of McDonalds' gay-ass commericals and those talking babies. Anyways, you can't say the game wasn't lacking drama towards the end. First half with the Cards dropping balls was just headache inducing and that 100-yard touchdown REALLY threw me off. Second half I was on the edge of my seat. Not NEARLY as satisfying as last years, but still fun. |
Three years in a row where the game was actually more interesting than the commercials. It's a streak!
My fav was the careerbuilder commercial where the koalla gets decked. How can I not love that shit? |
I hold out that this was more entertaining than the entire thing combined:

Go Steelers! WOOT! :rock
Oh yeah, Pittsburgh was thrilled last night. So thrilled that the students at the University of Pittsburgh had a bit of a riot. From what I heard, several sofas were set on fire, a bonfire was made, a tree was pulled down, a bus station shelter was demolished, a rock was thrown through the window of the campus library, and several parking meters were stolen/attempted to be stolen. I saw a picture of the crowd with a guy calmly walking off with a plastic newspaper dispenser under his arm. I was talking to this guy today and he said that he went to a nearby pizza place around midnight. In the shop, he met someone who admitted they used quarters to pay because they broke into a parking meter. Needless to say, it was a very strange scenario today. Several parking meters were still missing and the bus stop shelter looked like a giant stepped on it. |
Can't say I ever understood the "yay our team won, let's destroy our own city" mentality.
|
It has everything to do with testosterone overload.
|
And alcohol consumption most likely.
Anyway, it was college students. We don't always make the best decisions, I must confess. |
Anyone who punches a koala bear wearing glasses is a fucking asshole.

I also found the Mr./Mrs. Potatohead commercial funny, but that was because my one cousin was on a Mr. Potatohead kick and kept calling things from his laptop like "Did you know that I have a Mr. Potatohead toy worth five dollars? I got it in a Happy Meal ten years ago!" or "Does anyone want to watch this Mr. Potatohead commercial from Finland?" |

The Super Bowl XLIII thread
Congrats to the Steelers. Though the refs made a few questionable calls that favored the Steelers. This is the 2nd straight Super Bowl where the Steelers played where the refs made calls that favored the Steelers...beginning to think the NFL Refs are Steelers fans...
PS CHECK OUT MY SIG, ITS GOT A SPAM |
