omgsmg's art thread!!
hi! i'm new, but here's some of my art shit!
both of these were done on bristol board with sharpies. i'm gonna post some more stuff later this week. hope you enjoy it! :) |
Welcome to the forum. :)
What size are these, as in the dimensions? Because the larger they are, the less likely I am going to unfairly dismiss them as doodles. Were the end images what you set out to accomplish? Are the animal shapes a theme that you plan/wish to carry on? |
I DIG IT.
thank you!
the elephant was for a project at school involving animals, so the shape was intentional, but the color inside was very random. the octopus was done for fun, but the shape was still intentional. for sizes, the elephant is 4" x 4" and the octopus is 4" x 6" roughly. |
I would have prefered if that was feet rather than inches, but good job.
What grade did you get for the elephant? |
it was part of a 5-piece assignment but i got an A.
Well done! You have an alright thinking art teacher.
We have weekly themes in the art forum. This week is Metamorphosis. It would be great if you could take part. |
i might give it a shot! :)
Pub <3 thanks for the support! You should draw something too, you know <3
Those pictures are damn psychedelic! Are you a hippie by any chance?
ha thanks, but no i'm not a hippie. :P
i liiike em, sir :O!
Neato. The octopus made me dizzy, lol.
haha thanks, but i did not mean to make you dizzy :-P
here's some more of my stuff!
this was done by BTC & i: a foot crushing what is supposed to be a can. close up of the shoe. the lace was my idea. ;) it's made up of a bajillion (not really though) beer bottle caps that a friend saved up & didn't know what to do with. it's about about 2.5' x 4'. done on a 4" x 6" canvas board. this one is done on a 8" x 10" canvas. i have an obsession with circles as of lately. enjoy. |
yes! i love the bottle cap piece. we used a fuckload of nails though
i love the flower pieces though, the texture of the canvas is nice too |
thats really awesome and creative
I really love the last one where the flowers go over the circles <3 It makes me want to try out this circle thing too!
Kickass man, simply kickass. And a good use of bottle caps too.
thanks fat_hippo & cedar!
and MLE thank you as well, you should try the circle thing out, it's a lot of fun! i love circles. :) |
I love all of these pieces, especially the 4" X 6" flower/ circle one. Was there anything in particular that caused you to do it the way you did or did you just come to the design?
i did the one underneath it first, and i was like 'man, i keep doing this same design' then i thought 'BAM! what if i kind of inverted it?' and i liked how it came out.
painting i did base off of kurt halsey's art work. it's on a piece of wood that is an inch thick, two feet wide, by one foot in height. all done with acrylic paints. :) |
i liiiike it :O
aw, thank you :D
