Yes, that movie rules. I mean, it's Mike Myers. If only Dana Carvey had been hit by a bus before making the second movie ( all everything else after this...), maybe it would have been better than the first one.
Tia Carrere is hot too.

i thought about seeing that movie, but i thought it looked stupid. now im gonna have to go and look over it again.

GRUMPYNZ Mar 3rd, 2008 03:34 PM

What a great movie. I can't listen to Bohemian Rhapsody without headbanging!

Magic Flyin' Lemur Mar 3rd, 2008 05:59 PM

Agreed. I was but a child when this was a regular SNL skit, but I grew up watching reruns of that particular cast of SNL on Comedy Central. Downhill ever since...

Haven't thought about Dana Carvey in a while. Tia Carrere ruins it for me. Don't know why I don't like her.

Albino Bat Mar 3rd, 2008 07:38 PM

Tadao, I don't like her either.

sorry, hit the enter button, but yes, I agree. I was driving my friend's around and Bohemian Rhapsody came on, and we all sang the different parts of the song just like in Wayne's World. At that moment, my life was complete.

I remember going to see that in the theater and laughing my head off at it. It got slightly less funny as I got older, but is still entertaining enough to watch again.

If it wasn't for "Waynes World" I would have never re-discovered Queen in my youth....

"Thunderbolts and lightening, very very frightening me!"

DAMN YOU WAYNES WORLD!!!!!

This was the funniest movie when it came out. If you were over the age of 10 it pretty much consumed your life. I wanted the mirthmobile, I was only 11 so I can't be blamed. And I don't care who you are Tia Carrere was a total babe, Schwing!, she was in it for her acting and Ed O'Neil:

I'd never done a crazy thing in my life before that night.

Why is it if a man kills another in battle it's called heroic,

yet in the heat of passion it's called murder?

It's a good movie, especially the Scoobie Doo Ending. The other movie base on an SNL skit that's well worth watching is "The Blues Brothers"

Captain PirateFace, I know exactly what you mean. I STILL head bang at the appropriate point whenever I hear Bohemian Rhapsody.

One of the great Classics of our time. Love that movie.

I would add Coneheads to this list, also (IMO).
