I already know about ss2 and deus ex

Guitar Woman Jun 27th, 2008 02:01 AM

Then you've already played the worthwhile cyberpunk games.

OxBlood Jun 27th, 2008 02:57 AM

You could play the ancient Shadowrun games on Snes and Genesis, but they are not exactly A-Titles.

executioneer Jun 27th, 2008 02:38 PM

bloodnet? it's kinda fun but the difficulty curve spikes way too fucking high

and i disagree @ oxblood, the genesis shadowrun was ace

haha and if you don't mind CGA graphics you can check out the old pc version of Neuromancer

BurntToShreds Jun 27th, 2008 05:26 PM

Oni? It was influenced by Ghost in the Shell, so I think it'll have some cyberpunk stuff in it.

Tadao Jun 27th, 2008 05:35 PM

Not really. Good game though anyways.

Sacks Jun 27th, 2008 10:09 PM

Do you have Steam and HL2? Dystopia.

Fathom Zero Jun 27th, 2008 11:25 PM

I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream and I second Neuromancer.

Is that still going? I downloaded one of the first versions - it was well made but didn't hold my attention for longer than about an hour.

Chojin Jun 28th, 2008 02:17 PM

Oni is kinda terrible, and that's coming from a bungie fag :<

HELL is okay if you really, really like cyberpunk and adventure games.

Helm mentioned Bloodnet to me the other day and they reference it in HELL so I'll have to check it out!

I've only played it at LANs, I don't ever try online. I always forget how involved and impressive it actually is.

K-Mort Jul 6th, 2008 03:11 AM

Beneath a Steel Sky is great if you like Adventure games and Brit-humour. Not strictly cyberpunk though.

EisigerBiskuit Jul 6th, 2008 08:30 AM

Jet Set Radio even if it hasn't aged well

Lobo Tommy Jul 7th, 2008 05:03 PM

Fallout 2 is pretty cyberpunk.

executioneer Jul 7th, 2008 06:56 PM

wasteland is kind of cyberpunk, but i don't think any of the fallouts are

except once you get to the Enclave base in 2, that's almost cyberpunk

I have to admit, the first time I ever played the Genesis-SR was...about half a year ago ^^ I never had a Genesis when I was young...and I am almost absolutely sure the game never came out in Germany, so I couldnīt have played it in the first place...which is sad, but such is the way of Germany. We didnīt get the good stuff before the internet saved us.

VoodooChild1968 Jul 8th, 2008 03:43 AM

Have you ever tried Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura? Its older(2001) but pretty steamtastic. It's like Diablo meats steampunk.

Fathom Zero Jul 8th, 2008 01:23 PM

I love Arcanum, BUT IT'S NOT CYBERPUNK. >:

executioneer Jul 8th, 2008 04:22 PM

No, it isn't cyberpunk, for some reason at 3:00am my brain saw steampunk.

Sacks Jul 11th, 2008 07:07 AM

No, it's steampunk. It's the definition of steampunk.

OxBlood Jul 17th, 2008 04:33 AM

Fallout isn´t Steampunk. Steampunk normally takes place in non-postapocalyptic versions of the 18th-19th century and utilizes technological ideas from later centuries with 18th-century machinery (hence the name STEAMpunk) Fallout takes place in "the future", utilizing more or less present technological concepts with...junk.

Fallout is what I would call Endzeit. (End-Time or just Post-Apocalypse)...or Junkpunk.

Sacks Jul 17th, 2008 09:41 AM

The only time I've seen any relation to punk in Steampunk is when this really fat guy at a Halloween party had a terrible mohawk and was wearing work boots and a utilikilt and explained everyone he was Steampunk.
