Yeah, I'm kind of in the same situation, aside from not having bought anything.

Fathom Zero Dec 4th, 2007 08:14 PM

Fuck. I'll ship out tomorrow as I was sick today. And if I don't manage, I'll overnight it, banning or no.

J. Tithonus Pednaud Dec 4th, 2007 08:47 PM

Despite record snowfall, a 107 fever and the worst flu I've ever had the goods have been purchased and are on their way.

darklycan Dec 4th, 2007 08:48 PM

My presents are bought and sent, they should be there very soon.

So you're saying you sent a little something extra special to your recipient, eh? To whoever has J as their Secret Santa, I hope you enjoy the flu virus!

In all seriousness, thanks for sending your stuff out on time J (and everybody else who has sent theirs out already too). If you can get your stuff sent out on time under those conditions, that just shows there's no excuse for anybody else not to. Rock on.

MLE Dec 4th, 2007 10:19 PM

Vila Dec 5th, 2007 12:07 PM

Tracking Number says mine has been delevered! I hope they have fun with it!!

MarioRPG Dec 5th, 2007 04:51 PM

I went to the post office today to buy an envelope and tested the size with one of my gifts. It didn't fit, so I bought the next biggest size.

I got home and loaded up my envelope with my gifts, and realized I couldn't find my "test gift" I mentioned before. Oh shit, I thought, I left it on the floor of the post office. Sadly, this was by far the best gift I was to include.

So I hitch a ride back to the post office and about 30 seconds after I leave the car it hits me "FUCK! I FORGOT MY DAMN PACKAGE!" I hate myself, I get my gift back from the post office though, so now I have to go back there later tonight for the third damn time. Luckily, they will recognize me, and I'll choose an appropriate shipping service. :lol

EDIT: Shipped as of 7:00 PM EST, should arrive within a week.

MLE Dec 5th, 2007 07:44 PM

Sam Dec 5th, 2007 10:11 PM

Fathom Zero Dec 5th, 2007 10:13 PM

Sent this morning, $10 S&H, presents inbound.

Sethomas Dec 5th, 2007 10:48 PM

Psssh, I sent it around 4:30 HOOSIER TIME and the postage was roughly $21.

Misdemonar Dec 5th, 2007 11:23 PM

Alright, I 'm gunna get rid of this stuff, or somebodys gunna get hurt.

Mockery Dec 5th, 2007 11:45 PM

Misdemonar, honestly, I'd save whatever you bought for now. While it's odd you bought stuff in advance but were still unable to get some of the simpler tasks done in time, there's always the chance that one of the other participants will get screwed over. Should that happen, perhaps we can work it out so you can get in and help do some damage control. I'm hoping nothing like that happens this year though and it sounds like everybody's been sending out their stuff on time (though many waited 'til the last possible minute haha).

To those of you who already received your gift(s), I hope you're gonna start posting your photos soon!

Vila Dec 6th, 2007 12:25 AM

Still working on the story... sorry it's taking a while.

Mockery Dec 6th, 2007 12:30 AM

Cool, that's a lotta pics. But why post them when you don't have the story/text written out yet? :o

Vila Dec 6th, 2007 04:09 AM

Needed to get em off my camera phone.

aj2217 Dec 6th, 2007 10:54 AM

In the beginning there was a bag.

And it was pretty.

Inside the bag was a box.

And it was also pretty. And taped.

And inside the box was chocolate.

And I was happy.

Mr. Fazer makes really nice chocolate. But there were more gifts! For example, Salmiakki. I'm not a big fan myself, but my mom likes it.

This thing looked kinda innocent.

It says: Be always happy with practical joke.

I pulled out the "gummi" and an iron spring hit my thumb. It actually kinda hurt, I mean, it's supposed to give you a scare but this thing is pretty vicious! It's hits you right beside the nail, where it hurts the most. Someone who really hates children and/or practical jokes must have made it. I guess he's sitting in the factory all day, bending all the springs a bit to the side...:hypno

And then there was this very discreet brown envelope. This scared me. I noticed the words tranny porn somewhere on the forum, and the letter in the box told me RaNkeri "wasn't expecting to be paired up with a girl, so some gifts might feel a little strange".

Iek?

It's Spidermanni! With a link to a finnish translation site. I decided to read it without help first. I mean, I've been reading comics for about eight years now, and well...it's not rocket science.

There's a very ugly Carnage on the cover, and Venom and Bullseye. Excitement! Inside there's the Fantastic Four. This has to be Civil War stuff. Ah yes, there's Iron Man and...some guy with wings and an eagle on his chest. Spidey in his horrible shiny suit has a four page fight with Iron Man. There I spotted this panel. Warning! Not for the faint of heart.

Omg?

OMG?! I knew there was reason I stopped reading Spiderman a few years ago :x:x:x:x XD

For no reason at all I made a pic of Cap with a pre-made camera phone afro.

Can you dig it?

Cheers raNkeri! :domo

RaNkeri Dec 6th, 2007 11:18 AM

I'm glad you liked 'em. :love

And how was the beer by the way?

aj2217 Dec 6th, 2007 12:12 PM

To be honest, it's still unopened, since I don't drink :lol But it's on the honor spot, on top of my computer, together with a G1 transformer, a plushie of a rocket and my trusty and never correct date-thingie with the Sombrero =D
