OK just checking because I read this site that said everywhere else in the country but here they say "quarter of" and I knew it was lying to me.

I learned to speak english with the Muzzy In Gondoland BBC cartoon videos, where a little guy named Norman teached us about the times.

I listened to a bunch of Gorillaz songs yesterday and loved all of them.

I can't decide if that's a good or bad thing.

If you're looking for someone to tell you what type of music you're allowed to like I think that dreadsey (whatever) is still around somewhere.

it sounds english to me, anyway (I AM PROBALBY WRONG I APOLOGIZE ENGLAND)

While we do have some absurd ways of speaking, that isn't one of them.

I asked this question in this thread already. It's in a They Might Be Giants song, & I didn't get what they meant by it.

what is this damn web of lies

southerners invented rhyming slang and any northerner who comes out with any probably just got confused after doing too much heroin. although noone really uses it any more unless you want to describe something unsavoury in a comical and toothless way e.g. 'I stuck it right up her gary' or 'show us your mark fowler'.

Pub Lover Mar 19th, 2008 07:24 PM

David Jason uses it all the time.

MLE Mar 19th, 2008 07:37 PM

I say quarter of two instead of one forty-five sometimes. :<
