THE "JIG-A-LOO" CONTEST! WIN VIDEO GAME PRIZES!

This is definitely one of the most random contests we've had here on I-Mockery...

THE "JIG-A-LOO" CONTEST! WIN VIDEO GAME PRIZES!

The creators of Jig-A-Loo spray (the "all-around solution in a can") are sponsoring a new contest here on I-Mockery in which you can win a Jig-A-Loo Prize Pack (a can of the spray, a t-shirt and a hat) PLUS a $75 gift card to Gamestop.com! Random? Yes. Awesome? You betcha.

So, for I-Mockery's latest contest, we want you to design a fake print ad for Jig-A-Loo spray that explains one of the many amazing things it can do and how it makes the world run smoother. To help explain this better, you gotta check out their amusing commercial:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=gm_4OHCtAOY

So now that you know the kind of humorous mentality they have for their spray, it's time for you to go to town with it and make a kick-ass print ad. You can draw the ad using your own artistic skills or you can Photoshop it using a collage of images to suit your needs.

Either way, this contest will be judged on creativity and humor.

To help you out with your print ads, we have some graphics you can use:

-A large version of the Jig-A-Loo Can
-The Jig-A-Loo Logo

You can also retrieve additional graphics at their web site, jigaloo.com

And to further assist you, I've created a sample ad so you can get a better idea about what we'll be looking for in your contest entries:

If you have any questions still, feel free to ask.

PRIZES:

1st Place: Jig-A-Loo Prize Pack with $75 gift card to Gamestop.com!
2nd Place: Jig-A-Loo Prize Pack with $25 gift card to Gamestop.com!
3rd Place: Jig-A-Loo Prize Pack!

RULES:

-To participate, you must register an account on these forums (if you don't already have one) and post your entries in this thread.

-Once the contest is over, myself and the other staff members will vote on the entries!

-Entries will be judged on creativity and humor.

-No racist/sexist/adult entries will be accepted, so please keep your entries safe for work.

-Whether you win or not, your entries will be put on display for everybody to enjoy.

-Enter as many times as you like!

Ok that's it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Good luck to all of you and be sure to check out Jigaloo.com!

This contest ends 7/18/07.

Yeah I think it's supposed to be like that and more. It's probably like that stay-crunchy cereal lubricant Clark works on in Christmas Vacation, but it also can make your sled the fastest in the land. :o Check out the commercial.

MarioRPG Jun 19th, 2007 03:41 PM

Whew, that's some product. Shouldn't be hard to make hilarious.

bunksteve Jun 19th, 2007 09:42 PM

Here's my first go at it:

Fixed your image links for ya, bunksteve. They should be working now.

bunksteve Jun 20th, 2007 05:22 AM

Thanks, man.

leathco Jun 20th, 2007 08:50 AM

I suck at Photoshop and MS Paint, but got a mental pic in my head for a "lubricant." EDIT: Obviously I can't spell "squeek", oops!

FartinMowler Jun 20th, 2007 05:19 PM

I'm pretty sure that's not how you make babies :\ repelling?

bunksteve Jun 20th, 2007 06:12 PM

Yeah... here I am with another one. I really should stop at some point.

FartinMowler Jun 20th, 2007 07:15 PM

Drivin' home this evening
I coulda sworn we had it all worked out
You had this boy believin'
Way beyond the shadow of a doubt

Then i heard it on the street
I heard you mighta found somebody new
Well who is he baby - who is he
And tell me what he means to you

I took it all for granted
But how was i to know
That you'd be letting go

Now it cuts like a knife
But it feels so right
It cuts like a knife
But it feels so right

There's times i've 'bin mistaken
There's times i thought i'd 'bin misunderstood
So wait a minute darlin'
Can't you see we did the best we could

This wouldn't be the first time
Things have gone astray
Now you've thrown it all away

Now it cuts like a knife
But it feels so right
It cuts like a knife
But it feels so right

No, you shouldn't. That last one was your best one so far, which would suggest that you're improving. I love that you chose Brian Adams of all people haha

Well... maybe I should at least let some other people submit before I go all submitty-crazy-like.

And believe me, I have about eleventy-seven billion ideas for this thing.

Mockery Jun 20th, 2007 08:18 PM

Submit as many as ya like, people have a full month to send in their entries. And yeah, it's a pretty easy contest to come up with ideas for since it's so open-ended. Shouldn't be hard for anyone as long as they have access to Photoshop or MS Paint or somethin...

bunksteve Jun 20th, 2007 10:33 PM

Well in that case... here's the "obvious" entry from me. :)

Schimid Jun 21st, 2007 02:58 AM

and I could not have prevented myself from making this one for love nor money:

PS Congrats to i-mockery for getting "sponsorship" and "money". I suspect it's nice.

It's over? Oh No! I didn't get to enter!
Here's mine anyways...

bunksteve Aug 3rd, 2007 10:29 PM

Well everybody... it was fun. I don't care if I win or lose, I just had a good time playing along with all you fine folk.

That being said, if I lose... I will cut the head off of a retarded kid and stick it on a spike outside of Rog's new apartment. And don't think I won't, because I totally know where West Hollywood is (Travel east on Santa Monica until you see a cacophony of homosexuality).

P.S. I wasn't teasing the homosexuals with that comment. It's commonly known that the majority of the gay population live in West Hollywood and Silverlake. That's all I'm saying. Don't judge me. Or I'll cut the head off of a retarded kid and stick it on a spike outside of your home.

P.P.S. I was making fun of the mentally retarded. But it's okay, because they're God's clowns.

Sethomas Aug 4th, 2007 11:25 PM

Hey bunksteve, how does one go about "seeing" a cacophony?"

Jay3000 Aug 5th, 2007 07:23 AM

still no results?

LSD, Sethomas... lots and lots of LSD. And if you can't find any, just go down to Venice Beach and lick a hippie. You get the same effect.

Results are coming soon, I promise. I'm just in the middle of catching up on a TON of stuff. I was at Comic-Con, then Protoclown was in town all week, and then I went to BlizzCon. On top of all that, we're moving in under 2 weeks so I'm having to pack up this place and change addresses galore. MY HEAD ASPLODE. :o

Bear with me and the results for both contests will be posted sometime in the near future along with some brand new forum contests.

Mockery Aug 8th, 2007 08:46 PM

Hey all,

Sorry for the contest results delays, just been too busy between comic-con and moving to a new place. As usual, we based the results on who had the most votes, how each judge ranked them and of course the effort and humor of the entries in general. Anyway, without further adieu, here are the results for the Jig-A-Loo contest!

1ST PLACE: Type40

2ND PLACE: Islanderoffroad

3RD PLACE: Schimid

HONORABLE MENTION: Max Radical

Congratulations to our winners! To the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners - please send me a PM with your full names and mailing addresses so I can make sure that your prize packs are sent out. To our honorable mention, I hate to see anybody come that close and not get anything out of it, so if you would like some I-Mockery stickers/freebies, just drop me a PM and we'll work something out.

To all of our other entrants, thanks for participating in the contest. This one wasn't easy to judge, so keep up the good work and best o' luck with our future contests!

bunksteve Aug 8th, 2007 10:09 PM

Congrats to everybody who beat me... now if you'll excuse me... I've got some retarded heads to hack off, then I gotta go stop by the Home Depot and get me some spikes.

West Hollywood, here I come...

Type40 Aug 29th, 2007 01:30 AM

Thanks!

Hey all!
I received my contest prizes today, and just thought I'd say 'thank you' to everyone by sharing with you what I did with them.
Once the package arrived, I immediately put on the hat & shirt, spritzed with the can of 'Jig-a-Loo', and slid into GameStop to spend the gift card!

After looking long and hard, I finally found a game that truly spoke to me;

After 20 hours of racous gameplay I eventually passed out, only to awake hung over in a Tijuana prison cell with a raging case of Gonorrhea and missing a kidney!
Thanks I-Mockery!
