SNOW DAY!

Ok, well it's not a total snow day since I'm still working at home, but the fact that I didn't have to go into the office and can just work from here is definitely good.

Today sucks, everything here's frozen, and we're having a storm of freezing rain.

Cap'n Crunch Jan 26th, 2004 02:23 PM

I had to shovel the snow, but it was easy. I got rock salt on my hands and it made them crack and bleed. :(

Immortal Goat Jan 26th, 2004 02:40 PM

The plow camy down my street and piled a bunch of ice on the end of my driveway. I had to get a big axe with a sledge hammer back to it and bash a half-foot of solid ice apart. :(

glowbelly Jan 26th, 2004 02:41 PM

what did you get, rog? two inches?

it's been snowing here for a month and nothing ever closes down >:

Command Prompt Jan 26th, 2004 03:16 PM

Now I feel better. It all went south. Suckers. :lol

actually I think it was close to six which means probably no work for the rest of the week

it's supposed to ice storm tonight

HickMan Jan 26th, 2004 04:31 PM

Ohio's full of hard-asses when it comes to closings. This is the second one I had this school year :/

Drew Katsikas Jan 26th, 2004 04:32 PM

2nd, hard asses? We've got one, and that's something to celebrate!

sadie Jan 26th, 2004 04:35 PM

yay. inches of snow blanketing everything. stores sold out of milk and bread. no one going anywhere for fear of it all. i wish i had my car.

kellychaos Jan 26th, 2004 04:37 PM

Weathermen are like horny guys. They tell you that you're going to get eight inches and you only get two. I start to lose faith in any of their predictions beyond 24 hours or so.

sspadowsky Jan 26th, 2004 04:41 PM

We've gottten about a foot here, and we may get a few more inches yet. It's nutty. Although it was very nice that the university closed, so all my classes were cancelled and I got to sleep in until 11:00. And now I only have to work about a 4-hour day because the roads are really shitty, so my boss is sending me home at 5:00.

Then I will go home and try to ignore my guitar and Xbox and do the 5 hours' worth of homework I've been shirking. :(

Zomboid Jan 26th, 2004 05:35 PM

I just had to finish writing part b of my engish final and even the walk across the street to my school was freezing :(

There's also at least like 6 or 7 inches on most spots of the ground...then there's the giant hills :(

glowbelly Jan 27th, 2004 07:08 AM

i think in cleveland, rather than shutting things down, the powers that be are all saying shit like "fuck em, if they haven't learned to drive in this weather by now, they deserve to be in a ditch."

i'm excited because today, the high is going to be above freezing. it's been 7 degrees for the past week.

my skin looks nice, though. :)

TeRRaNuSER Jan 27th, 2004 08:36 AM

we got 13" here and nothing beyond schools closed, this thread is now about how weak canadians are.

i wish i had that kind of authority :(

ItalianStereotype Jan 27th, 2004 09:33 AM

snow? what is this strange thing you speak of?

liquidstatik Jan 27th, 2004 09:36 AM

I know what you mean, Smash. All it's done down here is rain. :(

P.S. I like yer new avatar!

Matt Harty Jan 27th, 2004 10:00 AM

Hopefully we're getting a shitload of snow tonight.

kellychaos Jan 28th, 2004 04:28 PM

Which do you detest more: snow or cold? I don't mind the snow so much because a little weather @ 32 degrees or so can make the snow go away. When it's in the teens, though, it can snow just once in a week or so and the damn snow won't go away and the salt loses it's effectiveness to fight it. Hint: I'm not a winter sport enthusiast, so save all your snow-endorsing replies. The End.

Marilyn666 Jan 28th, 2004 04:30 PM

I love being cold! Now I don't have to go to school this week.

Gurlugon Jan 28th, 2004 04:38 PM

The rest of the week? :(

I'll probably have to go back tomorrow; they done gone plowed all the snow off the main roads.

Marilyn666 Jan 28th, 2004 04:48 PM

I don't get that much snow where I live, but I have namonia so I can't go to school this week.

Gurlugon Jan 28th, 2004 04:50 PM

"Namonia?" Yeah, that's what you get for not getting him to use protection.

FartinMowler Jan 28th, 2004 04:50 PM

I like snow... :/ listen to tunes and turn up the heat.
