Getting SWF to print?

Ok, here's the deal.
Html site with a few swfs in it. When you print the site - the swf's don't print of course, but they need to.
Ok so, is there a code to place in the html that would somehow tell the page to print (an alternate) gif - sort of like how you make the gif show without a plugin in place of the swf:

else {

***//...write out the following <IMG> tag into the document. The image need
***//not be the same size as the Flash Player movie, but it may help you lay out the
***//page if you can predict the size of the object reliably.
***document.write('[img]blah.gif[/img]');
}

//Done hiding from old browsers. -->
</SCRIPT>

You could also try downloading the whole page and try to convert the swfs to gifs, or screenshot them or something.

I'm not aware of any way to achieve that effect without actually giving the user a link to a "printer-friendly" version of the page. :(

and if you're handy with CSS, making the printer-friendly version doesn't have to mean doing everything twice.

etc.

Ah thanks, that's interesting and will surely come in handy sometime.
I doubt this is going to happen with this particular client though.. long sotry. I didn't make the site I'm just making some changes to it. Whoever built it was unnecessarily Flash happy.
I might present this as an option, but I'm doubting they'll go for it.

Thanks again :themoreyouknow
