10,000 Volt Ghost Jan 11th, 2011 11:40 AM

yeah, bad times.

Shrubfest Jan 11th, 2011 01:45 PM

I watched it 2 days ago, because man wanted to.

I was told to keep my disgusted and derogatory comments quiet until the end.

kahljorn Jan 11th, 2011 02:42 PM

i remember when the preview for Wanted came out and it was like angelina jolie or brad pitt or some shit jumping up in the air and then a Ferrari or some shit drives by doing high-speed donuts and they land in the passengers seat and have smug faces

yea i never watched it ;/

10,000 Volt Ghost Jan 11th, 2011 06:00 PM

Kahl, we probably should watch this then. Then go and rent ferarris and jolies.

Mad Melvin Jan 11th, 2011 06:02 PM

Things I have watched recently:

Devil

It doesn't get much dumber than this. I don't know why I expected any better though, given the retarded premise. I laughed at the scene with the sandwich, so I guess thats a plus. Other than that, it stinks.

Megamind

Couple of good jokes. Pretty boring. I hate the voice of Jonah Hill.

Assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford

Must've been the fifth time i've seen this. One of my favourite movies ever. I can't quite figure out why I like this so much. It's just hypnotizing to watch and the soundtrack is awesome.

REC 2

What a pile of shit. The first one was ok (not the remake), but this is just insultingly bad.

127 hours

I've always liked Danny Boyle movies (Sunshine and Trainspotting being my favourites), and this is no exception. Very suspensful, especially since I didn't read anything about the story the movie was based on. I now have enormous respect for James Franco. He was amazing in this. Also, a big plus for the you-know-what scene. It was kinda hard to watch.

Porn

I just watched some. It was ok.

No. You got one, or is this some cruel joke?

Samfucius Jan 12th, 2011 05:32 PM

Just re-watched High Noon with Gary Cooper. Goddamn, that is an awesome movie. And the politics surrounding it are pretty interesting too.

The fact that the movie is shot in real time (movie is 1:25 long, and takes place over 1:25) blows me away every time, because I think it was the first movie to do that.

Kitsa Jan 12th, 2011 06:18 PM

I tried to watch I Sell the Dead, but it was so damned stupid I had to stop.

Shrubfest Jan 13th, 2011 09:36 AM

Devil in Miss Jones.

Grapes? Snake? Silver massage oil? I'm really glad I don't live in the 70s.

I love the opening of the movie when satan shoots hellfire out of his junk.

Aaarg Jan 14th, 2011 10:12 AM

dracula: dead and loving it.

Kitsa Jan 14th, 2011 08:43 PM

Human Centipede

Remake of Death at a Funeral- completely unnecessary

Zhukov Jan 15th, 2011 02:14 AM

Despicable Me.

It was alright I suppose, but I cried at the end. I do that more often than not at kids movies now :\

Babs Jan 15th, 2011 05:28 AM

The Being, I mean what else could I expect from a monster who's domicile is within a landfill? Maybe a little more self respect and control.

Kitsa Jan 15th, 2011 01:14 PM

I cried watching "Up" :(

executioneer Jan 15th, 2011 07:14 PM

they didnt even have the decency to put all the sad parts at the end, either :( g-d movie

Kitsa Jan 15th, 2011 09:12 PM

King of California. It was better than I thought it would be, although I thought it kind of dragged in spots.

Tadao Jan 15th, 2011 09:33 PM

Yeah, I was warned about UP. No matter how many times I see it, it still makes me wet.

dextire Jan 15th, 2011 11:00 PM

UP is the second saddest movie I've ever seen, Marley & Me being the first.

Watched Tremors IV and it put me in the mood to watch the first three. :)

kahljorn Jan 16th, 2011 03:27 AM

oh god there was a fourth one?

isnt there a tremors tv show too??

even though UP was alright i hate it cause it exploits people's feelings

Fathom Zero Jan 16th, 2011 05:16 AM

Watched Disclosure. I usually don't watch movies made from books. This kinda reinforces my decision. :(

Tadao Jan 16th, 2011 01:51 PM

I like moves made from Crichton books. He'll re-write the script for the movie himself so that it's not as gay.

Fathom Zero Jan 17th, 2011 04:41 AM

It could've been worse. And it was a pretty long movie even though it got rid of a lot of stuff from the book, so I can't really say I dislike it for that. But I dunno. Maybe it's because it's just so damn dated by this point. I can just get past all of it when I read it.

I kinda want to see Prey as a movie, but I dunno that a movie could live up to it.

And Rising Sun is badass.

Pentegarn Jan 17th, 2011 06:21 AM

At least UP crushes you at the very beginning though. Nowhere to go but up from there.

Wait a minute....
