World War 2 Movies
 

So recently, I've gotten (back) into WW2 movies because I enjoy them. Are there any suggestions on ones I should see?
Also, if anyone here has seen Downfall I'd appreciate your thoughts on it, I really want to see that one.

Island in the Sky and Tora! Tora! Tora! are pretty good.

I heard Tora! was the worst thing Akira Kurosawa was apart of.

Stalingrad. sympathy for germans & flamethrower action!

50/50 on T!T!T!. it has Bruce Campbell though.

The Longest Day, Kelly's Heroes, The Great Escape, They Were Expendable, (NOT Sands of Iwo Jima, it's a dull war film at it's worst, every moviegoer and critic in the world is a liar) and, of course, Fantasy Island.

I like The Caine Mutiny,

The first Navarone flick was fun, too. And if you haven't seen the Dirty Dozen by now, you suck at life

I get the picture of Michael Caine as a pirate.

I pray for Ignoble Bastards, even if Q can't get his ideal lineup

Pearl Harbor seemed like a decent movie trapped between to halves of a giant turd. does anyone sympathize for that crapper?

Cross of Iron is supposed to be pretty decent.

Man, Das Boot is a goddamn masterpiece.

he wasn't, he was in "torro. torro. torro!" which is a movie about a killer lawnmower not a ww2 movie :rolleyes

but on the plus side I liked Flags of our Fathers/ Letters from Iwo Jima for the both side of same story aspect. sure there's some slow parts(Flags), but Robert Patrick does rock.

Battle Of Britain - amazing story, and the film is almost entirely historically accurate
