I stopped collecting old game stuffs when I realized I didn't play any of them. I've started becoming more utilitarian with my collection and usually just buy strange new things now and shootan gaems from glorious Nippon.

Nah

Your avatar does remind me that I bought a copy of Shatterhand in the box with manual the other day for $25.00, though.

I also got Nightshade for the NES pretty much mint in the box for the same price as well.

ThrashO Jun 10th, 2011 04:34 PM

That'd be cool if Shatterhand didn't have the worst boxart ever...

yuck.

Nightshade rules! SPLORK!

Been trying to bag a copy of that for awhile

note: I never go online for SNES, NES, or Genesis games I want to collect because I like to find them like a treasure hunter

Nick Jun 10th, 2011 07:26 PM

That's cool, but you gotta be pretty lucky to score a copy in a condition like this. I was estatic when it arrived and I found it in such great shape. It's like I just went out and bought it from the store brand new. I cant imagine someone taking such great care of this game for over 20 years.

It's the pride and joy of my video game collecton. :')

I like the meow in the corner.

Nick Jun 10th, 2011 07:52 PM

Yeah, I gave my Ezio statue a little kitty toy that I found that looks like my real kitty. :3

ThrashO Jun 10th, 2011 09:46 PM

Christ those edges are pristine! It's like it just came off the factory line. I can't imagine what sort of space-capsule-sarcophagus that thing had to have been in.

I can't either! I couldn't believe it was like that after I gave only $25 for it. The Shatterhand I got is pretty beat up in comparison. It's not that bad, but you can tell its been around the block.

SpikeElSucko Jun 12th, 2011 02:12 AM

If you like PC games, then you can probably appreciate my list.

http://steamcommunity.com/id/liquidspike/games?tab=all

I also have an obnoxious number of Console games as well- ranging from a couple Intellivision cartridges such as Kaboom and Pac-Man for the Atari 2600 all the way up through the 360, but nothing that is terribly shocking compared to the other collections posted previously.

I'm extremely proud of my initial release editions of Symphony of the Night and Xenogears though.

10,000 Volt Ghost Jun 17th, 2011 03:38 PM

I went to my dad to take a picture of my new and intellivision games. Looking around for them then finally ask him if they were in storage. He was like "Nope, garage sold them."

:/

Would have included for NES:
Demons Quest II
Basewars
Dig Dug 2
The Three Stooges
Some Marios/Duck Hunt
Darkwing Duck

Figured I'd quote this seeing as I found this today, in pristine condition for $10!

Even the cart label looks brand new, I know alot of genesis games seem to rot and turn black and shitty and moldy. I've seen this go on ebay for like $60 :posh

10,000 Volt Ghost Jun 28th, 2011 10:37 AM

Time to roo it up.

ThrashO Jun 29th, 2011 07:26 PM

more rad games from my 'lection:

The rarest game there is definetely Metal Warriors, which is one of the best made games on the SNES. The genesis games aren't too rare, but "Todd All Up In Dat Slime World" is the shit and a half.

Babs Jul 1st, 2011 06:10 AM

Show off that collection, I WANT TO SEE THE WHOLE THING :yum

Mockery Jul 16th, 2011 01:00 AM

I already made this same thread a while back http://www.i-mockery.com/forum/showt...php?t=69701444 , but I'll repost my collection anyway for those of you who never saw it:

The main TV entertainment center setup.

Fully Modded Neo Geo system (including green LED power indicator, UniBIOS & Component cable outputs), 2 controllers with extension cables, plus the Super MVS Converter II.

Some more of my Neo Geo MVS carts, a few with shockboxes & custom inserts. I plan to get shockboxes & inserts for all of them eventually. Recently picked up a nice 100+ game Multicart for it as well.

My original Nintendo DS (never upgraded cuz I have big hands and liked the feel of this one more even though the new ones have better screens).

Nintendo Wii, Wii & Gamecube games, and my original Playstation system.

Some of my Playstation games (including a few in the original tall boxes that I loved before they started coming in typical CD cases), some DS games, my beloved R4DS (aka: the reason I don't own more DS games) and a bunch of dust :O

HOORAY FOR MONKEY ISLAND!

The original Gameboy (hoping to get a copy of Nanoloop for it sometime soon) and a copy of Truckin' for the Intellivision because... you can't go wrong with a title like that.

Really lucked out and won the entire collection of these magazines in an auction for quite a steal a while ago. It's one of my favorite gaming mags, but it's based in the UK and each issue usually sells for quite a bit.

I have a PS3 with a bunch of games now and a MidiNES to make chiptunes with, but don't feel like taking photos of them at the moment. I have a ton of other old games and systems packed away in boxes too, but I don't have the room for 'em in my place right now, so I'll have to take pics of that stuff some other day. Good times :O

SKELETON WAAARRRIIIOOOORRRRSSS!!!Z

Mockery Jul 16th, 2011 03:46 PM

Heheh, such a ridiculous game... but for a buck, it was a steal at the time.

Nick Jul 17th, 2011 07:03 AM

Roger, I'm jealous.

Skeleton Warriors could have been so much better.

monster_movie_night Sep 30th, 2011 02:23 AM

R.I.P Skeleton Warriors

oh god skeleton warriors wasn't as good as wildcats. They ran those 2 side by side on USA back in the early 90's I wasn't so impress with the villain which was somewhat a crossover the mummra and cobra .I'm the kind of guy that's always on the bad guys side just to see them triumph at least in one episode and of course there plans always failed miserably ending with the good guys pulling off a lame joke in which they all eventually laugh over.

Emu Sep 30th, 2011 05:20 PM

Oooooohmigod. I've been ramping up the collecting, mostly against my better judgement. Shitty cell phone pictures ahoy! I'll try and limit it to the interesting stuff...

Here's most of my PS2:

The stuff behind the pile in the front:

Not pictured: Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim, a second copy of Skygunner, Valkyrie Profile 2, Devil May Cry 1, 2, and 3, and Haunting Ground. I THINK that's all of them.

Famicom stuff.

Got this shiny Chrono Cross guide.

Bandit Kings of Ancient China, one of the rarest NES games. Paid 12 bucks for it. Also: DDS2 soundtrack.

Famicom-to-NES converters that I harvested from copies of Gyromite. For some reason, one of the adapters is much larger than the other.

I like Ys a lot. Also, Shenmue 2 import.

Complete. Whee!

I bought this for 10 bucks along with a bunch of games and restored it. It was quite dusty.

I had two of these, and another one out of the box.

Genesis. I had so many cords coming out of it for stereo sound and power cords and everything else that it looked like this thing was on life support. Not pictured: 32X.

Got all these around the same time.

I like Nintendo a lot.

NES games. This is about 75% of them.

This is an interesting one: I got it for $2 from the flea market on a whim. Turns out it's part of the Health Hero series of shitty games. This particular one was apparently only available by special order or doctor's prescription. Yeah.

I imported this because I love this game. :3 You may have noticed the Opa-Opa figurine in one of the earlier pictures.

Some boxed NES games.

Sega CD stuff.

Yay Lolo!

Persona 2: Innocent Sin, which wasn't released here. It's a Japanese copy.

Complete Chrono Trigger.

A Sega CDX, a combination Genesis and Sega CD. In spite of the name, it does not play 32X games. Very hard to find but very worth it.

Wireless controllers from Konami of all people. They use infrared by way of these bizarre dish things. They work pretty well except when you use them together and the beams cross. There's no differentiation in signal between first and second player. A strange oversight.

Teddie from Persona 4.

Rez and the PS2 "Trance Vibrator."

I'm currently in the process of unpacking my stuff after a move so if I discover anything else interesting I'll get some photos.
