Flags on uniforms.

Ok, seriously. Why the hell do mechanics and oil change guys (wannabe mechanics) always have flags on their uniforms?

Tadao Feb 26th, 2010 03:05 PM

10,000 Volt Ghost Feb 26th, 2010 03:14 PM

U.S flags? or confederate flags?

The Leader Feb 26th, 2010 03:15 PM

I'm glad that I stopped to read this thread.

Tadao Feb 26th, 2010 03:29 PM

What exactly is the problem with having a flag on your uniform if you are a mechanic?

Dimnos Feb 26th, 2010 04:00 PM

Ok, seriously. Why the hell do people bitch about flags? I mean, does it matter if they do or dont? I bet its like those dealers in Vegas that have the flag of their home country on their name tags.

Tadao Feb 26th, 2010 04:09 PM

The only thing that pisses me off is when people bitch that someone ISN'T wearing a flag.

VaporTrailx1 Feb 26th, 2010 04:18 PM

I'm not bitching about it. I'm just saying it appears that this profession has a disproportionately high number of such compared to the rest. Just an observation.

That is the usual opening statement to bitch fests.

Fathom Zero Feb 26th, 2010 06:16 PM

Ok, seriously. Why the hell do I come here everyday? It's not like the people are gonna get any better, or the conversation for that matter.

Tadao Feb 26th, 2010 06:45 PM

Cause you hope Shrub will post another pic like the rest of us.

:(

i'm not sure but the mechanics with flags thing might be like loyalty to american vehicles? like they don't like working on hondas or something

never seen it myself so idk what the hell you're on about though

VaporTrailx1 Feb 26th, 2010 09:18 PM

maybe it's a midwest thing.

shadowweaver Feb 26th, 2010 09:28 PM

"hey, asshole, my daddy DIED for that flag!!!"

"Really? I bought mine at KMart!! Oh, look, it was made in Korea!"

People who work as mechanics are naturally patriotic. Just like how guys who work as hairdressers naturally have the tendency to swing the other side. =\/\/=

kahljorn Feb 27th, 2010 03:28 AM

wiffles is close but its actually because mechanics are like "rebels" or some shit and "rebels" always wear some kind of flag

haven't you guys seen any 80's movies with car guys

Zhukov Feb 27th, 2010 09:07 AM

So did you guys hear that mossad are producing illegal copies of Australian passports? Yeah they use them to carry out assassinations. Oh, sorry, what? Flags on mechanics? No, sorry, didn't notice.

Ant10708 Feb 27th, 2010 03:16 PM

most of these places rent uniforms from a uniform company and the uniform companies usually have an american flag patch as the standard.
