second time today

that i've had to dig cat food out of my kid's mouth.

i'm sure it won't be the last.

sadie Dec 15th, 2005 01:18 PM

we had to put the dog food in big brother's room, where toddler is never allowed to go.

glowbelly Dec 15th, 2005 01:41 PM

hello?! he just had lunch! i mean JUST as in i took him out of the high chair and put him on the ground. i turn around? cat food in the mouth.

it's 3xs now. he's a naughty non-kitty kitty food eater.

sadie Dec 15th, 2005 02:03 PM

maybe it just tastes too good? :O

glowbelly Dec 15th, 2005 03:02 PM

the cat is eating the baby food now :(

Cosmo Electrolux Dec 15th, 2005 03:16 PM

Kids love pet food....I think they think "Hey, Kitty loves this stuff, it must be GREAT!"

Orange Juice Bruce Dec 15th, 2005 03:26 PM

Well, when he gets to the age where he doesn't wanna eat broccoli, Karen, you can fool him with the 'ol Veggies-In-The-Meow-Mix trick. Get's em everytime.

glowbelly Dec 15th, 2005 04:53 PM

i already have to do that :(

sadie Dec 15th, 2005 04:57 PM

so that's what kind of cookbook you got. :P

Juttin Dec 15th, 2005 04:58 PM

Or,for an emotionally scarring last resort, tell him that if he eats kitty food,he eats ponies :(

Guitar Woman Dec 15th, 2005 05:22 PM

Is it kibble or the wet kind, because I'll occasionally pop a few handfuls of Alley Cat if I'm feeling too lazy to cook something :(

It actually isn't that bad.

Juttin Dec 15th, 2005 05:25 PM

I hope for your sake you eat the dry,not wet :puke

Shyandquietguy Dec 15th, 2005 08:03 PM

Maybe you should get two of those cat food dispensers, one with cat food and one with baby food, and switch them when the baby isn't looking.

That or you could just mix the cat food with the baby food and not have to worry at all. Unless we're talking about a food possessive cat then you'd have a problem!

Orange Juice Bruce Dec 16th, 2005 03:45 AM

This thread would be made even more hilarious if Karen admitted she didn't have a cat. Hahaha.

glowbelly Dec 16th, 2005 07:15 AM

heh. like i would admit to THAT.

Orange Juice Bruce Dec 16th, 2005 10:18 AM

I think you just did, ma'am.

You're just trying to get the board idiots to go 'REALLY' and try it out :<

Guitar Woman Dec 16th, 2005 12:05 PM

No, I actually eat kibble when I'm desperate for food.

Dole Dec 16th, 2005 12:11 PM

Ah, the oral stage of development. Baby thinks 'Hmm..whats that? Only one way to find out, shove it in the gob.'

mburbank Dec 16th, 2005 01:07 PM

Just a few days ago I tried dog treats my Mother-in-law keeps. They looked like slim jims, they smelled like slim jims, and they tasted slightly like slim jims, but they were really, really horrifying. Like if you ate a slim jim that had been kept unwrapped in a moist baggie for about fifty years.

And my oldest was a cat food eater. My youngest tries not to do any sort of food at all.

Slinky Ferret Dec 16th, 2005 04:03 PM

I've often wondered who has to test the food to make sure it is delicious. They must have humans at some point in the chain before cats. Wonder how much they get paid and how long it takes before they're sick...

Sethomas Dec 16th, 2005 04:28 PM

I just wonder how much horse I ate in Europe.

Slinky Ferret Dec 16th, 2005 04:43 PM

Does that mean that chicken and liver isn't chicken and liver?

:tear

My cat used to love that.
