Bad game reviewers
 

Anyone ever watch any of these guys?

My faves are the Angry Video Game Nerd, Irate Gamer, and Armake 21. I also enjoy Hellsing920, as well as a few others on youtube. Just something about seeing someone so pissed off at a game, well, it's quite amusing.

Anyway, who else watches em?

AVGN isn't funny in any respect, and I"m sure those other guys aren't either.

The only one I like is the Ukranian fat guy.

I like the guys from AWESOME VIDEO GAMES but I don't think they count as reviewers

AVGN is funny if you've played the game. I usually turn it off once he goes into his final thought though.

I'd like AVGN better if his anger wasn't so contrived, but half the time he just sucks at the game.

I've seen one of Irate Gamer's, the one where he reviewed Goonies 2 except instead of actually reviewing it he went on about "Where's Goonies 1?" and Donkey Kong 2 and how nobody played Castlevania 3 before Castlevania 1, and threw in a comment about how bottomless pits suck.

Gotta agree with you there. I've seen that guy's stuff and his so-called "anger" is so forced and scripted... it's just unfunny as hell.

i like AVGN i like it because some games can really be frustrating

AVGN has his moments, but it's usually buried in a heap of suck ;<

The skit around his Texas Chainsaw Massacre one was pretty good :< Because that's exactly what I imagine his fans to be like

I like his reviews, but yeah, there's always at least two or three times per video where he delivers a line EMBARASSINGLY badly, and these are usually his trademark "angry" moments. I just cringe and try to imagine how a good actor would say it. So I guess you'd say I like the reviews themselves, just not particularly the guy doing them. :\

AVGN kicks ass IMO. He's the only bad game reviewer who makes me laugh hard. Although some of his early videos were somewhat "bleh"

thats awesome if for no other reason than the theme song.

I'm more partial to The Spoony Experiment; but his shtick is more with D&D and tabletop, but he's still got his funny moments (and it doesn't feel as contrived as AVGN).

I've checked some these out, and AVGN really isn't very good. Spoony Experiment isn't bad, and he reviews games that might actually interest me, as opposed to games that I will never play or even hear of ever again.
