Now, I may not follow DC as much as I follow Marvel, but after having picked up a couple of Superman comics immediately following after his "death" in a bargain bin, this sounds a lot like that. Hero is supposedly dead (or not) and several random and mysterious people show up to take the mantle, leaving everyone to figure out who it is.

I'm following Oracle's title in this series. It's pretty dumb; despite being the world's greatest computer tech she doesn't know who Babbage is or what a MMORPG is. Also, a person's head exploded, Scanners-like.
Other than that, I'll give it a miss. |
I disagree about the art, I liked Tony Daniel's work in the previous issues better.

Where is the cyborg Batman?

Interesting that they made Batman's death workable.

Ok let's face it, Gotham is just a pretty crappy place to live. Batman is easily one of the most powerful superheroes in the DC universe and he can barely keep the city from collapsing into a state of all out chaos. I mean Supes keeps Metropolis pretty much running like a gleaming utopia aside from a few nutjobs, but Batman just manages to hold off humanities return to feral cannibalism by a sliver.
As for who's the new Batman? I think everytime a comic has ever had the "Who is X?" question, that answer has always been dissapointing. Ir'll be more fun to guess than to have them reveal. |
I can't wait to see the Eradi-Bat-or, and Batboy the Clone of Batman....
Also someone who idolizes Batman... and then uses guns... I have a Pretty good idea who that would be... |
The Punisher? (kidding)
I'm a Marvelite, so I don't know the history, but this sounds intriguing. If only comics could be traded to pay utility bills... |
