2009 NCAA Men's Basketball
College hoops are in full swing and with a record losing streak to start us off no less!
http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketb...d=200811170459 Any thoughts on PSU being a part of this historic moment Colonel? |
Meh. The Nits have never been really strong in mens hoops. Still, the Highlanders ... well, suffice it to say I had to reread the article to get their mascot right. :lol
|
IU isn't looking too hot this year. Rebuilding and all. Looks like I'll still have PU and ND to root for. GOGO BIG 10.
|
Mighigan knocks off 4 UCLA. I must say I definitely didn't see that one coming.
Tubby Smith and his Golden Gophers have Colorado State this weekend. Here we go...4-0! |
I know it's early but who wants in on the 2nd Annual I-Mockery Bracket Bunch?
Milhouse, R U E to defend your crown? |

That's why some coaches will forever be second division.
"History Major"?? What was he thinking? :confused |
Did anyone else see the Davidson/WV game tonight?
Curry is a monster. Dude hit two very late clutch 3's to put them over the Mountaineers. He missed his first 12 3's but knocked his last 3 and still managed to score 27. |
Down goes Louisville as the 9th ranked Cards lose to Minnesota in Arizona today. The job that Tubby Smith has done at Minnesota is nothing short of amazing. Gophers are now 10-0 with a neutral site win against a top 10 team that starts two sure Lottery Picks.
|
Plus, the Gophers practically led wire-to-wire. Pretty amazing. They could break the rankings this week.

Once again the Big Ten is getting the toe up the arse. Two undefeated teams and eight with three losses or less--yet only one team(Purdue) in the top 10. Purdue ranks high because of its preseason position, despite the two losses to OK and Duke. Most of their starting rotation are sophomores, with star Hummel leading the pack. But this is not a great rebounding team--partially because of injuries. Minnesota and Ohio State are undefeated, the Gophers being ranked 23 with a win over #19 Louisville. The Bucks lost star David Lighty to a foot injury but keep on plugging. The team has beaten #8 Notre Dame as well as both Miami and Butler. The Spartans of MSU have two losses--one to the Terps and one against #1 NC. But they put down the Longhorns in Texas. Maybe all of this is immaterial, since North Carolina looks like Michael Myers.

Impressive, there are NBA players, considered among the all time best that have never reached that mark in a game. |
Kentucky just lost their third in a row tonight against Miss State. Billy Gillespie has been a stand-up job there.:lol
|
The tournament is drawing near...

March Madness! Bring it on!
