Oh, man. I got something to day. Careful, this is gonna be a long one!
I woke up this afternoon and found that I had a package waiting for me on the porch. Being the curious rascal that I am I immediately tore into it: Oh man! Oranges! I love Oranges! Waaaait a minute. This isn't a box of fruit. What do we have here? It looks like someone wants to play a game. Let's dig a little deeper. Oh! It's my secret Santa gift! It doesn't say who it's from though. Might as well open ALL OF THE GIFTS RIGHT N- Oh, wait. Maybe we should follow the instructions instead. Here is present 1, just like the letter said. Oh jeez, look at all this awesome candy. Christmas Gum tape, suckers, and Peppermint dark chocolate. This has been the best Christmas yet! Wait what's that? There's more? Better open the next present. Ah! It's Domo-kun! And something else! "DOMO-KUN IS FREE! DOMO-KUN RULE ALL!" "THIS DOMO-KUN CHRISTMAS NOW!!!" "DOMO-KUN LOVE STICKERS! STICKERS GREAT!" "ESPECIALLY ABOBO STICKER FROM 1989!!!" Wow, that sticker is as old as I am. Next letter! I have no idea how the next gift can one up this one. Domo-Kun is pretty amazing! Get ready? Ready for what exactly? Let's find out. "RAAAGH! GBA! GBA!" Woah! A Gameboy Advance! Awesome! With a copy of Jackie Chan Adventures as well. (Which is a nice little beat 'em up and one of the first GBA games I ever played.) But there are still more letters, and more presents. This guy is being way too generous here. Keep on truckin' on to the next gift! MORE GAMEBOY GAMES! "DOMO-KUN PLAY FOREVER!!!" Time for the next letter. Indeed you are awesome, mysterious gift giver! Rampage pleases Domo-kun! Let's rip the last present open! Oh wow, some Lego mini-figures and a Pokemon toy. Awesome! I love lego mini-figures! "RAAAGH! DEAD BODIES!!" Let's put them back together, Domo-kun! Ah, the first mini-figure is William Shakespeare! "Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio, a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy. He hath bore me on his back a thousand times, and now how abhorr'd in my imagination it is! My gorge rises at it." "DOMO-KUN LOOOOOVE BEATNIKS!" The second mini-fig is the dreaded BLACK KNIGHT! And of course here's Baoppu!... Oh, uh. I mean there goes Baoppu And here is the last letter... Let's see what it says. Oh! It was Blood_Panther all along! Thank you so much, Blood_Panther! This has to be one of the best Christmas presents ever! "BYE-BYE!!!" edit: My cat helped me open all these wonderful presents. Thanks again, Blood_Panther! |
Wow. That was Rog caliber there. I thought for sure that was from him.
|
Wow, that's one insane haul you got there, Nick!
Nice job, Blood Panther! :xmas1 Oh, and all gifts have been received, pictures coming very soon. :xmas3 |
glad you enjoyed it! and at the risk of taking some of my awesomeness away, I work at a used game store, employee discounts rule! I laughed at your comment at the abobo sticker. I made the exact same comment myself!

Merry Christmas, guys!:xmas3 |
Nick is my Secret Santa this year! And sent me this package.
The note informed me that this was but one gift of 4 that would be arriving in the coming days and to wait until all were received before opening them. And let me tell you, it's torture to wait when there's nothing but sheer willpower keeping you from tearing open each gift the moment it arrives. But wait I did. So now that I have the rest, let's open them up and take a look! And the first one is the "Ultimate Book of Bizarre Lists"! And to give you guys a sample I will now read you three random facts from this awesome book. "The Romans not only had guard dogs, they, like many of us, had 'Beware of Dog!' signs attached to their walls. In Latin. This reads Cave Canem." "Assassin Spiders are found in Madagascar and parts of Africa and Australia, these bizarre predators have long necks designed to support the weight of their enormous jaws, and they feed almost exclusively on other spiders, hence their name. They're also completely harmless to humans" "Only in Japan would a toy like this be developed. This toy is a bag filled with an anatomically correct woman who had been chopped into pieces. She comes complete with blood oozing out of her wounds and blood splatters on her face." Not bad huh? But on to the other gifts! Two Super Mario candy tins! In this case a Super Mushroom and a Question Block. It's difficult to see in the photo, but the Question Block actually does have Super Mario coins inside it. Now if only I had a macro lens to show you guys. Oh, there you go. :xmas1 And last but not least, we have a tin robot that's "NOT A TOY" and is "FOR ADULT COLLECTORS ONLY". While I'm certainly far more likely to swallow a small part, or stab myself with a sharp point than any child I know, I do technically qualify as an adult. So let's open it up! Wow! He's an awesome wind-up tin robot! Look at all of the details in him. Here's a side view so you can see that he actually moves his arms. So cool. Ah, look at him. So excited! I don't have the heart to tell the poor little fellow that he'd only be able to rule us for a couple weeks. The Mayans are coming and are going to make Superman fly around the world backwards in an attempt to go back to 1985 so he can try New Coke. Or something like that. Now, are you ready to see him in action? Rule us with a tiny tin fist, little dude! Big thanks to Nick for all of the awesome things! Merry Christmas, everyone! :xmas3 |
"...the Grinch's small heart grew three sizes that day."
Great stuff guys. |
Oh man, I'm so glad you liked all of that stuff, Dextire. I had to think for a moment what I could send you that hit all your little likes. I'm glad it worked out for the best. I could help but pick up a copy of that book for myself as well.
I also didn't know that little guy moved around I thought he was only for decoration! That's so neat! |
Cool xmas loot! I love Domo Kun! :D My SS should get their stuff on Monday. :D

I think blood_panther may be taking home the crown as best gift-giver this year. On top of some fantastic gifts ( :domo ) he also included candy. Props there.
Dextire, you had a pretty awesome haul too. And nice use of a macro lens :posh The final picture of the robot would make a wonderful Chrimmas card. Well, today's the deadline for sending so I hope you all have been compliant or you'll end up with coal! :xmas3 |

Which worked out well because it had candy. :) I received a nice stocking full of candy. For starters, there was Martin and Candy in Planes, Trains, and automobiles on bluray! Bam! Followed by some carmel coco and some chocolate. There was more chocolate but it didnt make it home for the pictures. :yum Much like this bag of green apple cotton candy. :yum :yum :you Really good stuff. Also included was this nifty Griswold Family ornament. There was also a nice card but it was a bit glossy and I couldnt get a good pic of it. Thank you Replicant! I loved the cottan candy and cant wait to watch the movie. :rock |
@ Ex Leper: The "Suction Cup Monster" is really Leech from the Masters of the Universe line. I always thought his action feature of "sucking" was pretty damn funny. I can imagine what his interview with Hordak was like.
Hordak: "So... you want to be my henchman? Tell me a little bit about yourself." Leech: "Hi, I'm Leech... and I suck." Hordak: "You're hired!" As to the Frankenstein, it's an old Imperial toy from the very early 80's. They're the same folks who made all those really cool Godzilla figures to terrorize practically every flea market and yard sale. Glad you really dig everything. I tried to do a mix of old and new stuff, just as your tastes described. Thanks! |
You did good!
