I am the proud re-owner on a Peavey Classic VTX 212 tube amp. Oh and I found my brothers Fender Strat so I don't "really" have to buy mine back.

My trumpet finally came. The asshole delivery person left it in front of the garbage. I need to practice my blowing.

SKA BABY!

I really wanted to get a sax instead but I ordered it when I was drunk. Usually when I make "not the best but doable" decisions.

Tadao Jun 25th, 2009 01:25 AM

I think sax is way harder. I can't play wind instruments. I lack the skill. :( I love listening to old Chicago and wish I could blow a horn.

I think I need to oil it a bit too. I'm going to get a trombone for dummies book this weekend.

I have one of those Peaveys. Best amp I've ever owned, although, I'm looking to sell all my guitar stuff for a fretless Jazz Bass. Decided to stray away from the metal.

10,000 Volt Ghost Jul 13th, 2009 11:11 AM

the fretless jazz bass sounds so good if you have skill.

Pipes McGee Jul 13th, 2009 08:04 PM

I loves me the Fretless Jazz. It's not entirely hard. You just have to have more co-ordination otherwise you end up sharp or flat, but you can do so much with one. They're so pretty sounding.

David Sylvian has a bass player named Mick Karn. He is my favorite fretless bass player.

HOW DO YOU FIND THE TIME WHEN YOU RUN A DRIVING SCHOOL FRANCHISE!

I want all of these. Too bad Ableton Live is so expensive.

Babs Jul 30th, 2009 11:34 PM

The nano controllers are pretty amazing. Using the Microkorg XL to computer (midi) and then using the nano controller with the pads is pretty interesting. You can basically take a $50 piece of equipment and use it like has the price of $400 (like the Roland SP-404).

Fathom Zero Jul 30th, 2009 11:45 PM

Korg pads are always fun, though. I really dig the miniature size, though. It'll fit in my messenger bag.

Babs Jul 30th, 2009 11:52 PM

just get a laptop, ableton (or anything similiar but ableton is the way to go), midi cable, and then you're on your way.

Fathom Zero Jul 30th, 2009 11:53 PM

Ableton is fucking outrageously expensive.

But I know these things already.

I recently just purchased ableton and reason. Music soon to come.
