So the Idol Queen covers sucked ass
Who would YOU like to see cover Queen songs?
We will rock you - Refused Bohemian Rhapsody - At the Drive in or Mars Volta Fat bottom girls - Foo Fighters Who wants to live forever - Flaming Lips Crazy little thing called love - Sparta or Postal Service Somebody to love - The Cure or Thursday Bicycle - Interpol Another one bites the dust - The Locust or Norma Jean We are the champions - Smashing Pumpkins Innuendo - Kill Sadie or Fugazi Please tell me someone has heard of half these bands. |
I fail to see what this has to do with movies & television.
|
television i guess, im sorry i was trying to post in the music board, my bad

Much agreed about this episode sucking. I think Flash or Ogre Battles would be worth covering, although I donno who could step up to the task.

|
It's fun to heckle.

|
I'm not surprised Courage watches it because he has the taste in music of a 16 year old girl.
|
I own the Queen cover album and it bites ass.
(Yes, There Is One.) It's called Killer Queen, a Tribute To Queen. |
Aside from the Foo Fighters cover and maybe the Refused one... those songs would blow donkeys for the thrill of it

christ, i've heard of 80% of them, but i probably couldn't identify more than two or three of them just by listening (because i don't listen to shitty music)
|
Agreed.
But I suppose you don't watch American Idol to rock out. You watch American Idol to have something to talk to that girl who has the locker in the freshman ward right next to yours about. |

The Used and My Chemical Romance covered Under Pressure and it was awfull. Another band, I don't know which, did a cover of Crazy Little Thing Called Love and it was awfull. No more Queen covers, please.
|
I liked when Wayne's World covered Bohemian Rhapsody.
|
I did see a clip on The Soup of one of the singers trying to convince Brian May to let him change the tempo and general sound of one of his songs, I believe it was We Will Rock You. May stated that "he couldn't bear to do that to his own song". Thank Christ for common sense.
