So...Many...Pictures...It's like 3 am and I'm still looking at the glorious galleries. You guys are awesome.

Poxpower Aug 12th, 2009 02:51 AM

I just gotta say... there's too many fat people dressed up in skintight costumes.

Which makes me think there might be good money in creating a superhero with a beer gut.

RUFIO! RUFIO!

spidergremlin Aug 12th, 2009 03:30 AM

The squished Hellboy toys are like the Transformers Robot Heroes toys.

All Hail Duke Aug 12th, 2009 05:13 AM

damn baby

puppetgeneral39 Aug 12th, 2009 05:25 AM

OH SHIT! A Cholly and Flytrap figure on page 12! Best...whatever the hell they weres ever!

Copper Aug 12th, 2009 06:35 AM

Gaaaah! Hate you!

Sorry, that's just the jealousy talking. Thanks for all the fantastic pics, folks! It's a blast seeing what's there and the comments really make some of them. By far, my favorite page was 23. So many favorite characters there! And I can agree on the Monarch costume. Only thing that would've made it better would've been wings, but I can imagine those would have been a bitch to get around with. Great seeing all the steampunk stuff, too. Have a couple friends that like it, so I'll have to share info on the pics.

Every time I read one of these things, it's "Someday, when I win the lottery..." Until then, this is the next best thing! Fab presentation, Rog!

elx Aug 12th, 2009 07:58 AM

the butt pictures should have their own gallery

Colonel Flagg Aug 12th, 2009 10:05 AM

Jesus this will take a LOOOOOONG time to page through. Looks awesome so far, though.

captain516 Aug 12th, 2009 12:14 PM

These galleries are pretty much the best damn advertisements for SDCC.

stevetothepast Aug 12th, 2009 02:57 PM

well shit. That was damn good coverage of the comic con. Any chance the left over shirts will make their way onto the store page? On a side note, what kind of nes to usb did you guys use at the booth? I've been looking for one, but don't want it to feel cheap.

Kat Aug 12th, 2009 06:04 PM

Holy CRAP.

Someone actually went as "The White Violin" from Umbrella Academy on page 8! I was planning to do that for halloween. Since I play violin and I'm a comic writer, I could think of no better costume than an outcast violinist that uses her music to kill.

Tell me, though: Was she only holding the violin or did she actually play?

Danny 4 Eyes Aug 12th, 2009 07:51 PM

Sweet baby Jesus and the orphans. That was a hell of an impressive collection of photos. I have been waiting for these for a while, seeing as I live in sunny old England, I won't be making my way over to the Comic Con anytime soon, but at least can see your awesome collection of pics RoG (and the rest of the guys).

PS I nearly wet myself laughing at the last picture of the Cobra Comander getting himself some munchies.

The Leader Aug 12th, 2009 07:52 PM

You called Jango Fett, Boba Fett in one description. I didn't bother checking which page it was, though, because I want to make you suffer knowing that you have failed as a Star Wars fan.

Also, the last picture was the best. He's dressed just like he was in the cartoon movie! AWESOME

Sam Aug 13th, 2009 01:02 AM

Was that really Buckethead? :(

the true star wars fan fails to acknowledge anything introduced after the initial trilogy of movies

Protoclown Aug 13th, 2009 10:13 AM

Good call, Willie. That was obviously just a really poor Boba Fett costume put together by someone who is color blind.

robo_rob Aug 13th, 2009 01:29 PM

I can just tell by the pictures that the entire place reeked of b.o.

Inflatable Animated Jazz costume? That's different.

Beardy Goodness Aug 13th, 2009 02:14 PM

By the way, the mini me at batman's feet is bat-mite, a sort of mr mxyptlk for batman.
I am ashamed that I know this.

Protoclown Aug 13th, 2009 02:45 PM

Eh, I know it too and I'm not ashamed. I suggested a new caption referencing Bat-Mite, but I think Roger just liked his original caption better.

My mistake. :tear

Mockery Aug 13th, 2009 07:29 PM

Thanks for all the compliments so far everybody! It took a hell of a long time to put all the photos together, and then myself, Proto & Boogie had to put captions under 'em. Glad you guys are enjoying all the coverage though... all we want to do is give you the next best thing to attending the event, so hopefully it worked!

I used a genuine NES controller combined with a retro usb cable hook up for it. Then I just mapped it to the keys for the game and it worked like a charm. Kudos to BoM for getting the game to work in fullscreen mode so everybody could enjoy it on the flatscreen TV!

As for whether or not the shirts will make their way onto the store page, as I stated in the article itself, EVERYTHING we sold at Comic-Con will be available for purchase on the site at some point in the near future. I just need to revamp the store a bit and figure out the shipping costs for things. But yeah, it'll all be available for purchase on I-Mockery soon.

T-Shirts, Posters, Pickle Hats, Comics, Stickers... the works!

You'd have to ask Proto or Max or whoever took that photo. I would venture to guess that she could play it though.

I'll say yes... but realistically speaking, anybody could but a KFC bucket on their head and call themselves Buckethead. Especially at Comic-Con.

Sadly, I was not there when that picture of the White Violin was taken, so I'd guess it was either Re or Scott who took that picture. Shame too, because I would have loved to see the costume myself (and discovered whether she played the violin)!

Tadao Aug 13th, 2009 07:58 PM

:edit
I can't wait to buy Proto's comic

And what better way to hide out at Comic-Con then NOT wearing a KFC bucket on your head when you are well known for it. :(

Julio Aug 13th, 2009 10:41 PM

Is it just me or Dr. Boogie looks like Sketch Turner from Comix Zone?

I got a question about this game you guys keep talking about. Is it going to be released on home consoles, or are you going to put it on your website? The reason why i'm asking is because I know you guys have it in you to do what newgrounds is doing with Behemoth.

peh_ Aug 14th, 2009 03:50 AM

PAGE 24!?!?!?! Good thing I have the day off tomorrow.... However oddly, I don't want it to end...

Aimless Aug 14th, 2009 06:14 AM

I really want the Vincent Price Shrunkenheadapplekitthingie. Thanks guys, this was epic.

Poxpower Aug 14th, 2009 10:44 AM

No, our game is not going to be on home consoles.

We asked Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo and they all turned us down and said we were failures who'll never find true happiness. And they spit on us.
>:(

Mockery Aug 14th, 2009 02:26 PM

Well that and BoM doesn't do console programming. :picklehat

araretwinkie, I do hope to eventually make some PC / Console games though... I've always wanted to. Would really just need to find a programmer capable of doing it. That and some extra money to invest into a dev kit for one o' the consoles. Those things ain't cheap ya know. If we were to do that though, I'd want to do a completely original game (like our Trick-Or-Treat Adventure Quest game) instead of a parody one like the Abobo one we're currently working on. Abobo will be EPIC though... and free for everybody to play.

Aimless, hehe yeah that kit is great. I always mean to buy it every time I see it at Comic-Con, but come Sunday I forget to pick it up from that booth. Guess I'll just have to eBay it.

Just Ami Aug 14th, 2009 09:36 PM

I'm still working on putting my Comic con photos together to post on facebook. :o And Ididn't even go on a week long seperate vacation!

Whoever took all the photos did a great job! I had a lot of people walk in front of me whenever I had the camera out. D:

neoboman Aug 14th, 2009 11:06 PM

Cool pics; I've never been to any -con in my life, but plan to at some point. Thanks for reminding me why.

I was checking online and found this very poor i-mock rip off but the ad is amazing.

Tadao Aug 14th, 2009 11:37 PM

Careful, RoG has many friends with horrible sites. :eek

The Leader Aug 14th, 2009 11:51 PM

x-entertainment has been around almost as long as i-mockery. It's not a rip off, it's not very poor and if you rag on it again I will punch you right in the nose. >:

Heheh believe me, we still had plenty of blurry ones and ones where other people were in the way. But we took an absurd amount of photos at the convention, so we had plenty o' perfectly usable ones as well. Glad ya enjoyed it!

Nah, that's no ripoff. A lot of sites cover weird pop culture artifacts... we just happen to do a whole bunch of other stuff too heheh. :picklehat Just as The Leader said, they've been around only a few years less than us. I even helped them make some menus 'n stuff back in the day.

Well this is definitely THE one to go to if you ask me. It pretty much has something for everyone. Movies, games, toys, comics, art, costumes, collectibles and a hell of a lot more. It's all there... and San Diego is a great city to hangout in for a convention. Really clean, right on the water and the weather is always great.

Aimless Aug 15th, 2009 06:50 AM

I feel bad now, I'll give them a chance. <3

Dommin Aug 15th, 2009 06:50 PM

Did Kaiju Big Battel do a show, or was there just a booth? KBB is fucking amazing. Just look at one of their stars, Call-Me-KEVIN.

I saw a match between three KBB guys and three guys from this fed called CHIKARA, where the CHIKARA guys won by pouring tartar sauce on the sea monsters from KBB.

Mockery Aug 15th, 2009 09:56 PM

Dommin, I didn't see them doing a show (doubt they'd have room for that in a little booth heheh), but yeah I always stop by their booth every year. You just can't go wrong with the combination of monsters and wrestling.

Dommin Aug 15th, 2009 11:27 PM

Have you seen their main heel (villain)?

Meet Dr. Cube.

If I ever make it to the comic con, I'm definitely going as either Dr. Cube or Ted Dibiase.

JakeOfAllTrades Aug 16th, 2009 10:27 AM

I wish I could go to Comic-Con. In case you guys don't know me, you probably already do, and if you do, I'm so sorry for anything I did to upset you. I live in Australia so we have Supernova instead of Comic-Con, and I haven't been to a Supernova or even SMASH anime fair in years because those things are always on when I've had to study.

Protoclown and you guys are always awesome, but sometimes I'm bewildered when I'm unfamiliar with 1980s franchises like Masters of the Universe and G.I. Joe. Not that those things aren't bad, I just feel... unfamiliar with them, since I never even saw G.I. Joe to this very day. In Australia it's different to America because we're so isolated from the rest of the world here, and we don't get access to limited edition toys and collectables as easy. Call it tyranny of distance if you will.

Tanuki Aug 16th, 2009 04:36 PM

Nariko from Heavenly Sword, Demyx from Kingdom Hearts II, Zero from Code Geass, Jam Kuradoberi from Guilty Gear, Raz from Psychonauts...damn, wish I could have made it to the Comic-Con. Especially so I could go to that Richard cosplayer and call him "dick."

TheBoxMan Aug 18th, 2009 02:29 AM

Oh man that inner demons picture was hilarious!

Mockery Aug 18th, 2009 03:04 PM

Hehe, you should've seen them on the beach when they first saw how that photo looked on the camera. Proto alone was practically in tears he was laughing so hard at it. We took so many of those photos... who knew running away from waves in the middle of the night could be so much fun?

darkvare Aug 19th, 2009 05:06 PM

i'm gonna save to go to san diego comic con next year and try to meet kevin smith :)

Output Aug 20th, 2009 08:27 PM

Thank you RoG!!!!!!

hisholiness Aug 24th, 2009 06:31 AM

Thanks for the pics RoG. I do believe this was the next best thing to being there. Looking forward to your holiday season next month!

Aftershock Aug 28th, 2009 10:32 AM

So, was it one person responsible for all the ass-pictures? Or did more than one of you fail to resist the siren lure of cosplaying buttcheeks? :P

Great photo spread, though, either way. It's too bad you can't get videos of some of the cosplayers who acted in character in addition to looking in character, like your Jack Sparrow friend. :P

Rufus the Perturbed Aug 30th, 2009 12:04 AM

Good photos, funny captions. I few too many ass-shots for my taste, but there was probably little choice at a comic con. Seriously, though: 28 PAGES?? There is seriously something wrong with everyone at this sire (and I mean that in the nicest way possible).

Rufus the Perturbed Aug 30th, 2009 12:05 AM

oops, that should be "site", not "sire"

Mockery Aug 30th, 2009 05:44 AM

No, you were correct the first time, Rufus. You should indeed address me as "sire".

MyHat Aug 30th, 2009 11:51 AM

Thanks for the pics! Got some really good ones.

Nick Sep 20th, 2009 11:41 PM

Thanks for the kick ass article guys!

El Renardo Nov 10th, 2009 10:26 PM

Well, at least H.U.N.K. made an appearance!
