A true classic. I've loved this one since I was four years old.

While the movie may have aged gracefully, I cannot say the same for Hoggle. His puppet resided for years in a local store called The Unclaimed Baggage Center. They allowed him to fall into disrepair for years. Eventually his skin and clothing started falling off inside his exhibit case. Finally, last year they sent him off to some two bit production company to have them repair him. He looks like a giant plastic toy now.

You remind me of the babe. What babe? The babe with the power. What power? The power of voodoo? Who do? You do. Do what? Remind me of the babe.

David. Bowie's. Massive. Penis.

The film was as much about his package as it was about a labyrinth.

They came out with a special edition, pretty sure it was the limited edition bonus package. I couldn't figure out how they would put more David Bowie package in this movie.

One of the best movies around! That and the Dark Crystal! I have the Anniversary Edition DVD of the Labyrinth and watch it all the time!

I LOOOVE this movie!! The worm and the wiseman with his hat are awesome!!

Orastella Apr 29th, 2008 03:41 PM

I love this movie so very much!

MarioRPG Apr 29th, 2008 07:44 PM

I've always been hesitant to see this movie, and it's based purely on the cover / poster picture. I just don't know if I could stand looking at that for over an hour.

Fantastic movie! I *still* want that crystal ball.

Nifty fact - There's a manga out called "Return to Labyrinth" that continues Toby's adventures after he's hit high school and gets pulled back into the world by Jareth.

Scary fact - They originally wanted Michael Jackson for Jareth.

I can't imagine anyone but Bowie with that hair...

Labyrinth and Dark Crystal are too of my favourite movies of all time.

I think you would be hard pressed to find someone on the entire internet that didn't love this movie. It seems to be the one constant across cyberspace.

WryBeauty Apr 30th, 2008 02:32 PM

This is my all time favorite movie. David Bowie was my first celebrity crush. Now I feel really strange when I watch it and see his junk in those tight white pants.

executioneer Apr 30th, 2008 04:22 PM

yeah i liked this movie a lot better before someone pointed out bowie's package >:

Shrubfest Apr 30th, 2008 05:12 PM

How did you MISS it? Its fairly apparant.....

executioneer Apr 30th, 2008 05:16 PM

well i guess i was just focusing on other things

Shrubfest Apr 30th, 2008 05:34 PM

Fair enough. It's probably just because the rest of us were looking for it on purpose.....

Pandajuice Apr 30th, 2008 06:59 PM

I agree that it's pretty hard to miss. I remember averting my eyes, even when I was kid, at his ridiculously tight pants and giant package. Bowie is awesome when he's spinning those crystal balls though.

Shrubfest Apr 30th, 2008 07:08 PM

ITS NOT HIM!
Sorry. I have the DVD too. They had a bloke under his cloak to do all the fancy bits....

"Bret, It's me 1986 David Bowie from the movie labyrinth"

This movie is a good family movie despite who confusing some of the scenes that are confusing for kids ( or atleast were to me)

GRUMPYNZ May 1st, 2008 04:08 AM

That, and "The Princess Bride."
