Top 3 books

If you had to pick 3 favorite books, what would they be?

I'd have to say Redwall, The Summoner, and I dont care what you say, I loved Eragon.

Rumble Fish
The Metamorphosis
Dune

There can be no others

zeldasbiggestfan Aug 8th, 2007 06:32 AM

Dune is pretty awesome.

Guitar Woman Aug 8th, 2007 06:34 AM

Way to not notice the other two books that are basically a million levels above it.

zeldasbiggestfan Aug 8th, 2007 06:35 AM

Nah mayne, fuck dat.

RaNkeri Aug 8th, 2007 06:36 AM

Hard to list only 3, but

Lord of the rings
Bored of the rings
Rainbow Six

All of 'em have been mind blowing experiences.

Hound of the baskerville, The Hobitt, 6/12 and The unknown soldier were also close to make it to the list. The list may change after I've done readin' some lovecraft and R. A. Salvatore though.

In fact, you guys might as well lock this thread, because nobody beats Kafka

I've only read few short stories by him, so they can't be really counted as a book. :/

Kafka fucking kicks ass though.

zeldasbiggestfan Aug 8th, 2007 06:42 AM

Never heard of him. Redwall is seriously the most descriptive book. He wrote for blind kids (why its so descriptive) and someone gave the story to a publisher and they took it. So he got to be an author by luck, which is really cool.

Guitar Woman Aug 8th, 2007 06:45 AM

BECAUSE DESCRIPTIONS = A PHILOSOPHICAL STORY, JACKASS.

This is going to be like the graphics over gameplay argument all over again seriously :x

zeldasbiggestfan Aug 8th, 2007 06:49 AM

I didnt understand that, so that's all I can say.

MLE Aug 8th, 2007 11:37 AM

If you didn't understand that, you need to stop trying to play with the big kids.

Asterix and the Big Fight, Asterix the Gladiator, and Asterix in Britain!

They have funny pictures!

MLE Aug 8th, 2007 12:04 PM

I totally just saw the Asterix series at my local comic book store! I was looking for Luis Royo books. ;<

Grislygus Aug 8th, 2007 12:12 PM

Man, where you at? I thought they were only sold in the UK. I've been getting all of mine from the internet.

Some Asterix books have pirates in them!

MLE Aug 8th, 2007 12:20 PM

I saw probably the entire collection sold individually at my local comic book store (privately owned). I'm in Maryland ;o

RaNkeri Aug 8th, 2007 12:22 PM

Asterix pwns too. I think I still have few albums left somewhere

Grislygus Aug 8th, 2007 12:24 PM

Damned lucky East-Coasters. Is it not enough that you hog all the good Italian food?

Wait, I failed Geography, is Maryland on the east coast? You guys should move there if you're not. 'Cause it seems like you should be there. Swap with Rhode Island or something.

MLE Aug 8th, 2007 12:26 PM

Yeah, we have great italian food and we are totally on the east coast

Grislygus Aug 8th, 2007 12:27 PM

Okay I have "Googled" this problem and am now all over the Geography business.

If you turn your head sideways, your state looks like a happy Muppet lizard.

MLE Aug 8th, 2007 12:27 PM

Kinda!

RaNkeri Aug 8th, 2007 12:28 PM

There was a lizard muppet?

MLE Aug 8th, 2007 12:29 PM

I don't believe you were a part of this conversation

RaNkeri Aug 8th, 2007 12:30 PM

Nope, I just wanted some attention :<

EDIT: And I succeeded!

Grislygus Aug 8th, 2007 12:32 PM

Not now Rankeri, the cool professors are talking.

I have obtained a scientific illustration.
