Oh I am so in!

I participated last year, recieved stuff made a huge ass story, sent my stuff (but never got to see a story out of them :( ). So do i still need to do the posting and showing a picture again?

Also, will the threats of a ban follow through because there was quite a few stories not getting posted so just wanted to know what the stance on it was.

Cheers
Lycan

I think that ages should be PM'd to the event coordinator, then sent to the person who will be buying their gift along with their address. It makes a huge difference in what you'll buy.

I will also not be dealing with new people for gift exchanging this year, after I got fucked two years in a row on this. I even went to all the trouble of making a letter written in blood by BAPE, only to have the fucker disappear forever.

OJB tried to send someone a week-old taco bell bean burrito, wrapped in duct tape, and the post office even accepted it, but he was given an incorrect address so it got sent back. He still has that burrito and keeps it in his fridge.

If you've participated before and held up both ends of the bargain, then you're automatically eligible for this one, darklycan, yes.

Also, people were banned last time for failure to meet obligations, but Glowbelly was spared and ZBF I think had his ban reduced to a couple months or something.

I am in, but woe to he who crosses me with crappy gifts.

Sam Nov 19th, 2007 12:22 AM

I WANNA DO DIS

Emu Nov 19th, 2007 01:20 AM

I want to participate, but we've been having such trouble with our mail here that no matter how early I sent the thing I'm not sure that it would arrive before February. A number of places and people have yet to receive things I sent a month ago, and we have yet to receive things sent to us. :(

Ok, well as the rules state, we need you to be able to guarantee that you'll be able to send/receive everything on time. It's simply to avoid having you or your recipients getting screwed over. We don't wanna ruin anybody's fun in this event, because I hate to see some people get great Secret Santas and then other people have their Secret Santas shit all over them (even if it is unintentional). Where do you live exactly and why is the mail such a problem? If you can ensure that the gifts will be sent/received/posted on time, then we can let you participate no problemo. Otherwise, you'll prolly wanna sit this one out until you can get your mail situation sorted out.

Also, a reminder to everybody who has signed up or will be signing up...

Once your name appears on the participants list above, please send an email to santa@i-mockery.com which includes the following information:

-Your Full Name
-Your Full Mailing Address
-Your Name/Alias here on the I-Mockery Message Forums
-Your Age

Thanks.

I certainly have time for it this year, but I'll wait and see how many other Canadians sign up first. I still have ninjavenom's horribly disgusting tranny and black man porn from the first secret santa somewhere at home. I really like the idea of keeping new people seperate from the older ones.

RaNkeri Nov 19th, 2007 07:24 AM

Could you oldtimers tell me, what kind of presents are we supposed to give? Can it be anything, like candy, or something(as long as it's not junk)? Or are we supposed to give presents that are easy fodder for the christmas story?

Oh Ok , its just I know liquidstatik had gotten the present I sent him, but alas never made the story but I do see him post every now and then. Or was this a special acception?

I'm in Jacksonville, Fl. right now. The city's having some kind of insane budget crisis and all of the public offices are running at quarter speed (meaning, not moving at all.) So I think I'll have to sit out this year. :<

RaNkeri Nov 19th, 2007 10:20 AM

Might sound like a stupid idea(ok, it IS stupid idea), but can't you just go send your packet from the neighbouring town/city/village/metropolis?

Although receiving your secret santa gift might be a problem.

You have any relatives or friends who you could rely on?

HungryWantBiddy Nov 19th, 2007 10:29 AM

I would like to do this...but the all the sarcasm around here kinda makes me wonder if it's for real.

You'd get a better reception if you sent something that was actually cool and interesting or, conversely, intentionally worthless. One that sticks out in my mind is Jixby getting the Rosie O'Donnell Christmas album.

It's as real as the ZOG conspiracy :eek

AlliSabbah Nov 19th, 2007 11:30 AM

I have a question. Well a couple of them.

First I know what I want to get for whomever I end up with. Trust me iit will be very interesting seeing what kind of story they come up with for it. However looking for the item on ebay (Its not used I just cannot get the item around here. I live up north. :( ) Anyways I notice most of the people selling it are charging inflated shipping prices to avoid the ebay fees. Actually it looks like all of them are. If they are charging like $20.00 s&H for something I think would be maybe $10.00 should I count the other &10.00 towards the price? Or should I just keep looking until I find an honest (Hee Hee Hee good luck to me.) Seller? Not that Im greedy but I have five kids and $40.00 or more on this is a bit much. :) Although it may be worth it to see what they come up with.

2. Ok now the easy one. Once I get a pick of myself with my sign is there anything special I need to do to make it show up on here?

Actually, we faked all of it, and David Icke is is 100% correct in his hyperfactual theories regarding world leaders and the space lizards from V. That being said, I would love to have the chance to once again participate in this hellish facade. Merry Hanukkah and Happy Christmas!

ie, "I'm in."

Jerks.

Also, while separating us newer schmucks from the finer herd is all well and good, I think we can all agree that Tithonaus' gift will most likely be a hellspawned siamese-twin flipper monkey baby and it will be a goddamned crime if it is given to someone who won't appreciate it.

Zomboid Nov 19th, 2007 01:57 PM

Percentage of "stories" that are even remotely funny = 3%

Well you could obviously use fed-ex or UPS to ship out stuff on time. And like RaNkeri suggested, is there anybody nearby enough that could accept the package for you or anything? If ya gotta sit it out, that sucks, but yeah, there's always next year.

I assure you, this is for real. Check out the threads for the Secret Santa event from the past two years in this forum and you'll see it's quite real. Once you've done that, let me know if you'd like to sign up for the event this year.

For your first question, I would just search for another seller or choose a different gift, because as stated, the actual gift needs to cost a certain amount. I'd also be wary of buying your gifts on eBay because some sellers can be really bad about shipping stuff out in time, and we wouldn't want to see you or your recipient get screwed over and banned just because you bought from a bad seller on eBay.

For your second question, you need to just upload your photos to some free photo hosting service (such as photobucket) and then post it here. Are you not all that internet savvy or somethin? It's not hard to upload pics and post 'em, but you need to have that stuff figured out before the deadline.

Yeah, you gave great gifts last year and that guy isn't involved in the event this go around, so you don't have to worry about that.
