Frog Drawing - been a while
This is the frog from the NES video game Little Nemo: The Dream Master. I have been keeping it on the back burner for a month or so, and just putting minute or two of work into it every so often. Though it doesn't look complete, I don't know if it ever will be. It just looks horrible to me right now because I just finished working on it, but if I go 24 hours without looking at it I am pretty sure it isn't a half bad drawing. Made entirely in Photoshop 7. |
It looks miserable. Like it wants to be eaten. :(
Good picture, though. |
Its chin looks like testicles :(

It's pretty good. The splash effect needs more work, and also the rippling. The texturing on the frog is good enough. You're pretty good, generally.

I splashed around in the sink for nearly 10 minutes to get that water quality. But the rippling wasn't originally apart of the drawing, I just threw it in moments before I posted it because I hate empty space.
And it pleases me to know that you think I generally have a grasp on how not to draw bad. |
reduce the opacity of the inner ring of splashes where they are 'over' the toad's body to give the illusion of a circular effect. If you need splashes in front of him (you do) then create a different layer and very sharply contrast sparser water splashes over it's dark body.
If this doesn't make any sense it's because I'm in a hurry. |
I like him. He looks a tad blurryish, kinda like the fuzzy airbrush tool got the best of him. But, overall, it's really well done :)
|
I painted the outside of every bodypart with many strokes of black at 5% opacity hoping that this would make them look more pronounced and seperate from their surroundings. That is why it looks blurry. I thought about sharpening up the hands with a little bit more contrast, but never got around to it.

minutes later he erupts in semen. frog semen.
