Corey Haim = DEAD

http://www.nydailynews.com/gossip/20...d_reports.html

Sad to hear it, really.

Colonel Flagg Mar 10th, 2010 11:38 AM

No more episodes of "The Two Coreys". :(

Nick Mar 10th, 2010 01:54 PM

"Oh, hey mom. What's that you have cancer? Well, let me help you out with that while I pop these four bottles of pills, yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah."

Mockery Mar 10th, 2010 04:13 PM

Get outta my dreams... get into my car. :(

:lol

robo_rob Mar 10th, 2010 05:22 PM

This is probably the most out of the blue of the recent celebrity deaths.

Pentegarn Mar 11th, 2010 09:21 AM

I don't know, Andrew Koenig (Boner) wasn't saddled with the drug rep that Haim was, so I would think his suicide was more out of the blue. With Haim everyone is going to say, "I guess those drugs caught up with him".

Colonel Flagg Mar 11th, 2010 09:27 AM

Feldman is all over Larry King saying "Don't rush to judgement - he was doing great!" :\

On the other hand, after all those years strung out, his heart couldn't have been in good shape. He may have just tanked.

We'll know soon enough, I guess. :(

I think that was what was concluded for Mitch Hedberg when he died. A heart attack that was blamed on his past drug use degenerating his vital organs prematurely. Once you do drugs to that degree, nothing can remove the stain those drugs leave in your system.

Andre Koenig was an F-list celebrity that everyone had forgotten about (if they even knew who he was in the first place).

I guess I was surprised only that people made such a big deal when he died.

At least Feldman is still alive....because Goonies never die.

Mockery Mar 11th, 2010 04:11 PM

As sad as it is for someone to die that young, it really doesn't come as a surprise. Corey Haim wasn't looking good at all when we ran into him at the 2008 Eyegore Awards & Halloween Horror Nights:

:\

Dimnos Mar 11th, 2010 05:02 PM

Damn. He looks bad. :(

robo_rob Mar 11th, 2010 08:03 PM

For some reason I just figured he'd pull through it.

Nah he had a bit of a following (enough to rate at least d-list) from Never Not Funny alone

Sam Mar 12th, 2010 12:36 AM

At least the most important Corey is still alive, so they can still make The Lost Boys 3.

Nick Mar 12th, 2010 01:09 AM

I'm still waiting on Goonies 2.

robo_rob Mar 12th, 2010 01:09 AM

Yeah, but no more vampire Sam for Edgar to fight, unless somebody else plays him. Which isn't inconceivable, but still...

Wow, he worked for a WEEKLY PODCAST. Still f-list.

Corey Haim's death is linked to an "illegal and massive prescription-drug ring," California Attorney General Jerry Brown said Friday. Brown's office is investigating "an unauthorized prescription under the former child star's name that was found during an ongoing investigation of fraudulent prescription-drug pads ordered from a vendor in San Diego."

Brown said the ring uses stolen doctor's identities to order prescription-drug pads that are used to write counterfeit prescriptions.
"The doctor whose name is printed on the form is usually unaware that his or her identity has been stolen for this purpose," Brown said.
Haim got two powerful drugs from a pharmacy 11 days before his death, according to a source with knowledge of the transaction.

Haim also won rave reviews for his title role in the 1986 film "Lucas." Film critic Roger Ebert said of him at the time, "If he continues to act this well, he will never become a half-forgotten child star, but will continue to grow into an important actor." lol I guess he didn't continue to act that well.
