Love this game.

Annnnnnd, I've read almost every Darkness comic...Yeah.
It's an ok series. Nothing AMAZING.
Like most Top Cow comics it's consistently tacky but dumb fun. I'd suggest having a look at the best of collection they released at the same time as the game (Not the actual 5 parter based on the game, that one's pretty meh) if you don't like that then you'll know not to bother with the series.
Sonatine's a cool fucking villain though.

Very fun game, one of the first I actually beat when I got my PS3.

I bought it for like $8 and it surprised the hell out of me. I loved it and it actually reminded me a lot of Max Payne.

I didn't like it, but I only played it for about 10 minutes... maybe if I had gotten into it more i would have enjoyed it.

The style and narration of this game is just awesome. I´m just saying "Sofa-Scene". And it´s a pretty good Gimmickshooter too :)

I too recently bought this game used pretty cheap after hearing a lot of great things about it. I loved playing through this game although I had a few complaints. Am I supposed to believe there is no pedestrian or automobile traffic in New York, even at night? The controls were clunky. The darklings would have been better suited to some sort of user directed AI (melee darkling....go find something to kill, light-killer....always seeks out lights to destroy....etc.). There was too much stopping to blast lights...recharge darkness...kill badguy...repeat. Even so I loved the concept of what hell might be like (even though it wasn't really hell). I loved getting phone numbers to call and letters to mail. I loved how the cutscenes played out in game. The voice acting was top notch if not sometimes over the top with the entire cast. I hope a sequel is made with improvements.

The bad thing about this game was no Replay Value.

I thought it was okay. Just okay.
