WIMBLEDON!!!

Do you guys like tennis?, well i don't like it very much but i can't stop watching some ladies games on TV, i mean look that two sisters Venus and Serena Williams, they're pretty hot, didn't they?, also screaming girls like Maria Sarapova, or the cutest babe Anna Kournicova :love, i mean is also a funny sport to watch, what do you think guys?

Pentegarn Mar 20th, 2008 06:20 AM

One time Jim Rome called women's tennis "soft core porn".

I laughed for about 10 minutes at that.

Is Roger Federer still the unstoppable powerhouse of tennis?

the word wimbledon makes me think of a snooty butler

"WIMBLEDON!!! FETCH ME MY SPATS!"

"Right away, sir."

Why are you wearing spats? Didn't those go out of style at the turn of the century?

RICH PEOPLEE ALL WEAR SPATS

GAW

Wimbledon is so very not posh. :lol

:posh

Also, yes, I like the ladies tennis.

Colonel Flagg Mar 21st, 2008 09:43 AM

Spats! That's sooo 19th century. Jodhpurs are the appropriate terminology in the Victorian era.

My word.

I'm all about the ladies. Tennis, that is. :rock

I am so depressed about my brackets imploding that I need to cheer myself up, so here is a picture of Anna Kournikova eating a banana

Now there's a beautiful way to get your minimum daily requirement of potassium!

It's still the Roland Garros in france, so Wimbledon is next up. The NZ female number one keeps being knocked out in the first round of her competitions, and it's getting a little sad how the media build her up as if this will be the one where she shines and then ignores her as she crashes out. Anyway, the reason I'm bumping this unpopular topic is a news headline I found amusing:
Jankovic blames heavy balls for her injuries

Pentegarn Jun 3rd, 2008 11:35 PM

I am bumping this to point at Pub's news headline

Pub Lover Jun 24th, 2008 02:55 PM

New Zealand's tennis hope, Marina Erakovic, is through to the second round after beating her doubles partner. Her next opponant, Julia Georges, has a world ranking 40 points lower than Erakovic, so that gives a fifty/fifty chance of being knocked out. Erakovic has never made it to the third round of a big tournament, so it's all down to luck.

Maybe Georges will have an unfortunate accident due to excessive carelessness. :triadbrothers

I'm watching a game Savchuk vs Jankovic but none of these girls is cute as Martina Hingis, oh man i love short hair girls, i hope won't miss the serena williams match next up because she's too damn hot for me :love

Pub Lover Jun 26th, 2008 03:06 PM

Marina Erakovic is through to round three! Best performance yet, but her next opponant is ranked within a couple of points, so even with a good effort I doubt she'll progress further.

Colonel Flagg Jun 28th, 2008 08:14 AM

And the US men come up real small yet again in a major tournament. Hopefully they'll be practicing prior to the US Open in August. :P

On the plus side, the Williams sisters are kicking some serious butt. I don't think either has lost a set yet.

Pub Lover Jun 29th, 2008 12:37 PM

Yeah, Erakovic was flattened by Tamarine Tanasugarn.

Pub Lover Jun 30th, 2008 03:12 PM

Tamarine Tanasugarn knocked out an injured Jelena Jankovic. :eek

Venus is gonna put that jammy Thai in her place. >:

Colonel Flagg Jun 30th, 2008 10:05 PM

It's looking more and more like an "all-Williams" final is in the cards ... again.

Colonel Flagg Jul 1st, 2008 12:17 PM

And the Williams sisters cruise on into the semis .... Neither has lost a set yet.
