So Halloween's coming up...costumes?

What's your costume plans, guys? What previous costumes have you done?

Last year I didn't know what to do, so I just bought an orange turtleneck, white ski vest and dark green skirt, then had my friend make me a rusty pipe out of paper mache. So I was Heather Mason from Silent Hill 3. I just wanted a costume I didn't have to change my hair for. I got to participate in a zombie walk with some L4D survivors; it was fun, but I still cringe thinking about the blisters. But I don't plan on using the Heather costume again since it was so rushed and mostly store-bought pieces.

This year I guess I'll use the Lili costume I had for Otakon. I'm surprised it remained completely in one piece after the con. Of course, I don't really know what I'd wear the costume for. So maybe I'll just forget it.

Nick Sep 7th, 2010 01:27 AM

Someone should make a really nice Pickleman costume.

Sacks Sep 7th, 2010 01:56 AM

I'm probably going to be one of the guys from Ghoul like I was last year. No one knew who I was but people were legitimately afraid of me and would move across the room from me if they could. I also won 2nd place in a costume contest I didn't enter and the judges didn't bother asking what or who I was before scoring or however it worked.

Zhukov Sep 7th, 2010 06:31 AM

My new girl saw last years Black Sea Fleet costume and she wants us to go as matching sailors.

executioneer Sep 7th, 2010 07:21 AM

my costume is murder

10,000 Volt Ghost Sep 7th, 2010 08:59 AM

I'm trying to get my girl to go as pregnant Trudy this year. If that doesn't work I'll need a new costume too.

Shadowdancer21b Sep 7th, 2010 12:01 PM

I'm going to be lame and dress up as a soldier zombie. This is lame because I'm a veteran so I'm just going to put on my old uniform and makeup.

THE BUS GIRL? :O

MarioRPG Sep 7th, 2010 02:23 PM

Last year I went as Sam from Trick 'r Treat, not sure about this year. Probably something without a mask though.

Kitsa Sep 7th, 2010 04:34 PM

we need a thread about what people from here SHOULD be for halloween, because that could be hilarious yet damaging

10,000 Volt Ghost Sep 7th, 2010 05:14 PM

Kitsa, you could be the heroine from Rawhead Rex.

Kitsa Sep 7th, 2010 05:28 PM

pics? I'm too uninformed to google it adequately.

Sacks Sep 7th, 2010 05:50 PM

I was imagining it was going to be a really cutting suggestion but it doesn't seem to be at all. It looks like you just need jeans and flannel.

captain516 Sep 7th, 2010 07:45 PM

Considering Vault Boy.

darkvare Sep 7th, 2010 08:19 PM

captain spaulding again lol

Kitsa Sep 7th, 2010 08:27 PM

I'm going to be Fiona from Shrek (fat green version) if I can ever track down a damn wig. I have a green silk dancing costume from India that should work as a gown, if people ignore the embroidered dancers along the hem.

Zhukov Sep 7th, 2010 09:29 PM

Miss Hitler revoked her "I just want to be friends" stance.

Kitsa, I think you would make a lovely chubby, green ogre.

BatmanJohnson Sep 7th, 2010 11:09 PM

I have no clue. So probably a last minute zombie costume made by blooding up clothes I don't wear anymore.

elx Sep 8th, 2010 12:50 AM

saria!

Zhukov Sep 8th, 2010 10:41 AM

Nice.

Sacks Sep 8th, 2010 06:14 PM

Speaking of bus girl, everyone keep your eyes peeled for Amber Lamps.

MarioRPG Sep 8th, 2010 06:19 PM

How does one become a good Amber Lamps? Have a guy with a beard beat a black guy while you stand by uninterested?

Sacks Sep 8th, 2010 06:57 PM

She was wearing something pretty recognizable. It wouldn't be too hard.

10,000 Volt Ghost Sep 9th, 2010 10:45 AM

Any ideas for halloween costumes for couples. I've gone as Peg and Al Bundy before but that's it.

Zhukov Sep 9th, 2010 10:54 AM

Trotsky and Frida

10,000 Volt Ghost Sep 9th, 2010 12:33 PM

Thinking about

Fathom Zero Sep 9th, 2010 12:46 PM

kahljorn Sep 9th, 2010 08:44 PM

I don't know if this outfit would be easy or hard to put together :(
also i think he wears leopard print pajama bottoms

also i dont know which one was the girl :(

The Doctor Sep 9th, 2010 08:58 PM

elx Sep 10th, 2010 12:20 AM

you could be fred and daphne! which is easy peasy sauce. :3..but not that cool i suppose.

The rolling Stones?

Spetsnaz Sep 10th, 2010 03:36 PM

I'm sure your girlfriend would make a great Barf.

robo_rob Sep 14th, 2010 08:56 PM

Same thing as last year, the host at the haunted house I work at. By Halloween, it's probably gonna just be an old t shirt and jeans (we closed on Sunday)... and a trip to Dunkin Donuts for last chance Halloween donuts.

Shadowdancer21b Sep 14th, 2010 09:06 PM

I have changed my mind. I am going to dress as Marv from Sin City. I am digging out my old service trenchcoat and some medical tape. I'm ugly enough I could pass for him.

Kitsa Sep 15th, 2010 02:34 PM

You know what costume I saw today that really surprised me?

This.

As in, this.

(creepy chick from Big Love! Creepy chick from Big Love/Grandma from Napoleon dynamite!)

Babs Sep 15th, 2010 04:43 PM

The Joker from the Dark Knight

Supafly345 Sep 15th, 2010 05:33 PM

I really really want to make a Tarman from 'Return of the Living Dead' costume, but I'm not sure how expensive it would be to make. Also if I am thin enough to pull it off. Maybe clever use of some black latex. Also I have no idea how to make him look wet enough.

Shadowdancer21b Sep 15th, 2010 09:46 PM

I support you in your quest Supafly.

Nick Sep 17th, 2010 06:54 PM

I'm going to dress as a nudist this Halloween season. Anyone care to join me?

Kitsa Sep 18th, 2010 09:49 PM

Ah, new serverdom erased my extremely helpful post about the Cap'n Jonathan from Deadliest Catch costume :(

You're welcome.

10,000 Volt Ghost Sep 19th, 2010 12:51 AM

Of. Fuck the new server deleted my neweest posts. And they were giood bitches/.

Kitsa Sep 21st, 2010 09:57 PM

Stupid.com has a selection. Bonus points to anyone who can combine the fart-o-meter costume with something else.

It'll be a hinky-dinky-dooda morning before that can happen.

What the fuck did you just say?

Kitsa Sep 22nd, 2010 01:56 PM

He's from Utah and that's how they talk.

Shadowdancer21b Sep 22nd, 2010 02:10 PM

LOL. Utahns say goofy things like coinky-dink, but the line was a quote from "Nudist Camp of the Dead." They sing a song called "hinky-dinky-doo-da morning." The Cinema Snob made a crack, "They really wanna say shpadoinkel don't they?"

Kitsa Sep 22nd, 2010 02:26 PM

Jee-ma-nee Christmas.

10,000 Volt Ghost Sep 24th, 2010 01:18 PM

I thought for sure this costume was going to be called Eugene Hutz.

Move mouse away from product image to close this window.

MarioRPG Sep 25th, 2010 04:39 PM

Moving my mouse away from that image definitely did not make it go away.

thegrayhoodie Sep 26th, 2010 01:31 AM

I'm going to wear my suit, a pair of black sunglasses and an earpiece and go as a fat fed. I'm too fat for cool costumes I guess.

executioneer Sep 26th, 2010 01:53 AM

im going as santa

TOTAL MINDFUCK

EDIT: ACHEWOOD AVATAR I WILL FIGHT U

executioneer Oct 1st, 2010 07:29 PM

i kind of want to go as coach from l4d2 but idk if it'd work without me being black, and i don't think that blackface is a great idea.

MLE Oct 1st, 2010 10:47 PM

You don't mess with willie.

10,000 Volt Ghost Oct 11th, 2010 12:48 PM

I don't think there's anything wrong with it if you're going as a character.

Shadowdancer21b Oct 11th, 2010 01:14 PM

I agree. If anyone gives you crap, just say you're "Wa Coach". Like Waluigi.

Kitsa Oct 11th, 2010 02:53 PM

Dress rehearsal without the gown. I didn't want to run out of green so I photoshopped my throat to match.

Pentegarn Oct 11th, 2010 03:47 PM

You need to green your kid up so it looks like a little ogre-ling

Tadao Oct 11th, 2010 03:51 PM

Looks good, but maybe you could switch it up once in a while and pose differently.

Kitsa Oct 11th, 2010 04:09 PM

I'll fix my neck when you fix your back, asshat

MLE Oct 11th, 2010 06:46 PM

hahahahaha

Zhukov Oct 11th, 2010 09:13 PM

:lol

Looks impressive, Kitsa.

Tanuki Oct 11th, 2010 09:16 PM

That looks wonderful, Kitsa!

Shadowdancer21b Oct 11th, 2010 10:09 PM

Nicely done. Is that your hair, dyed, or a wig, Kitsa?

Kitsa Oct 12th, 2010 09:34 AM

My own hair is red, but not bright enough to be Fiona, so this is a wig. Thanks.

10,000 Volt Ghost Oct 13th, 2010 06:47 PM

That's a sweet Fiona Kitsa.

Nightcrawler Oct 13th, 2010 11:35 PM

Bah...wanted to go as the Alien Queen, but that costume didn't work out :( so I don't know. I suppose I could get two friends and go as the human centipede...I'M BEING IN FRONT!

Dixie Oct 14th, 2010 11:00 AM

my boyfriend and i are going as a couple of the villain biker gang from mad max this year.
kitsa you look adorable!!!!

kahljorn Oct 14th, 2010 06:12 PM

you COULD be that typical 80's biker leader/gay sidekick couple from the second mad max (i think it was the second one). All you need is crazy hair and a crazy cackle; also to look at balls a lot.

The Nun Eater Oct 15th, 2010 03:24 PM

I bought this for Halloween.
http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=...1t:429,r:0,s:0

It look's pretty badass, but I ordered it online so there's no telling what I am gonna get.

MLE Oct 15th, 2010 03:25 PM

My friend made his costume this year the phone booth from Bill and Ted's most excellent adventure. Not a guy in a phone booth, mind you. Just the phone booth. It's awesome.

MarioRPG Oct 15th, 2010 03:39 PM

Part of me is seriously considering going as a Doeo.

Babs Oct 15th, 2010 05:37 PM

Kenny Power most likely but I'll probably end up doing absolutely nothing.

Roxy would be awesome to go as.

Nightcrawler Oct 16th, 2010 07:22 PM

Hmm... another cool costume idea would be to hollow out an old tv set,
cut holes for your head and arms, stick some antennae on your head
and go as Freddy from that one scene in Elm Street 3. Welcome to prime time b***!

sebastiankirchoff93 Oct 17th, 2010 08:48 PM

Last year I went as "Hilary Clinton Clown", where I dressed as a clown and wore a Hilary Clinton mask to show my disdain for her.

This year I plan on dressing as Burt Reynolds, and imitate Norm MacDonald's impersonation of him from Saturday Night Live.

ChrisGlass Oct 18th, 2010 08:07 PM

Pirate costumes + face paint = skeleton pirates.

I heartily endorse this endeavor! I request pictures.

in my case this isnt doable because
a) i couldnt hold a midget on my back all night and
b) i cant afford to hire a midget

but IF i could i would hire one and be MASTER BLASTER from "Mad Max: Beyond the Thunderdome"

or i could be the "Id buy THAT for a dollar guy on robocop

Popcornmonster Oct 19th, 2010 07:33 PM

Being classic Jason. From Friday the 13th Part 2. Got the blue flannel shirt, overalls, pillowcase with one eye hole, and a prop pickaxe.

kahljorn Oct 20th, 2010 06:02 AM

You could always try making a doll or something that looked like Master. Or if in the end your arms didnt look to fucked up you could do that thing where your head is Master and you just have Blasters helmet attached to your upper chest / neck / chin or something.

Dimnos Oct 20th, 2010 02:48 PM

Or you could get some redneck teeth and just go as Blaster during the Thunderdome battle.

MarioRPG Oct 21st, 2010 03:21 PM

I've also started a mummy costume for a separate event... not sure how it's going to turn out just yet.

HickMan Oct 21st, 2010 04:09 PM

I'm going as a future viking. Got the fake beard, viking helmet, vest that I'm covering in aluminum foil, and a toy laser gun. I'll put pictures up soon.

BastardCookie Oct 22nd, 2010 02:54 PM

Me and my buddy Corwyn are going as Supernatual Mario Brothers. Instead af Dean and Sam, it's Mario and Luigi!

You need some cyber ale too.

LordSappington Oct 24th, 2010 11:49 AM

Going to be Finn from Adventure Time. The girlfriend is making the hat for me, because I can't sew worth crap.

MarioRPG Oct 25th, 2010 06:55 PM

After some wait... My one costume has been completed! It was for the London Zombie Walk! (pics stolen from posts on the event's page)

Spoilers!

Also I'm featured in this youtube video, which also shows some great other zombies.

Kitsa Oct 26th, 2010 09:04 AM

Cool.

My daughter made me so proud last night. We were at a packed mall trick-or-treat event and Ronald McDonald was doing a "meet and greet". I mean, people were acting like he was a rockstar, he had handlers passing out coupons for hamburgers, it was pretty insane.

Anyway, he was smack dab in the middle of this gigantic crowd of kids all trying to talk to him, big ring of parents trying to take pictures of their kid with the guy in the Ronald McDonald suit, and so on. It had to be at least 15 people deep surrounding him on all sides, everyone wanting his attention, and what does he do?

Glances up over all the kids, mouth drops open, seems to forget who he is for a second, points and shouts with utter excitement and joy:

"OMG IT'S THE STAY-PUFT MARSHMALLOW MAN!"

:lol

Zhukov Oct 26th, 2010 10:28 AM

Haha, even celebrities like some guy in a fast food character costume can be human too.

And Mario; that is all kinds of fucking awesome. I hope you got lots of kudos for being brave enough to go mummy at a zombie walk. Definitely awesome.

LeNoRe18 Oct 27th, 2010 05:36 AM

I was thinking of dressing up as either Raoul Duke from Fear and Loathing or the Skin Taker from the "Candle Cove" creepypasta :3

executioneer Oct 27th, 2010 07:18 AM

NO

The Leader Oct 27th, 2010 08:28 AM

I thought it said something quite poetic about some random guy, having become a celebrity because he was in a Ronald McDonald suit and makeup, being temporarily starstruck by a random baby in a Stay-Puft suit.

LordSappington Oct 27th, 2010 10:07 AM

What the hell? I thought I was the forum's token emo kid! >:
