2014 SECRET SANTA EVENT PARTICIPANTS: SHARE YOUR INTERESTS!!!

As always, since some of you aren't sure what to buy the person you're assigned to in the Secret Santa event, I'm creating this thread again.

While I tend to not even think about what my recipient is interested in and simply try to get them something they wouldn't normally buy for themselves to create a more fun / surprising Secret Santa experience, I understand that some of you may not want to do it that way and simply want to give them something you know they'd like. With that in mind, I'm opening up this thread for all participants to post their interests in. Just share some basic details about yourself (ie: what kind of movies you like, your hobbies, etc.) if you want your Secret Santa gift giver to know a little more about yourself.

Note: Just because you post some info about yourself in this thread, it does NOT mean your Secret Santa needs to take these factors into consideration when they buy your gifts. It's totally up to them whether to buy you something related to your interests or to go with something more surprising. Again, this is totally optional for both the buyer and the receiver to participate in.

Retro stuff and pop culture is always a hit with me. my shirt size is 2XL. I have a ton of DVDs so you might want to be careful sending those my way. I'm into Magic The gathering and my favourite candy is white chocolate.

of course completely random stuff makes a just fine gift too.

(copy-pasted from previous years)

Suppose I should share something too. While I won't say what you should get me, as there's certainly more than enough info on this site about what I like based on all the articles from the past 15 years, I will tell you what I don't need:

-Movies (I have so many movies I haven't even had a chance to watch yet, so I definitely don't need any additional DVDs or Blu-ray discs.)

-Posters / Art (similar to the movies, I have more than enough prints & posters that I don't even have room on my walls for, so I'd avoid those too.)

-Music (again, I have plenty, so no thanks)

-Clothing (thanks, but I'll stick with my own shirts 'n all)

Other than that, I think everything else is fair game, so have at it!

For me, I want surprises. Little things...

But anything for the wife is nice. Chocolate, Snoopy, hedgehogs, girl things. It's always a nice surprise when she finds at least 1 thing in there for her.

Transformers
Godzilla (I've got all of the DVD's already)
Swamp Thing
LEGO

I like anything comic book related, toys, video games, toys of comic books and video games...oh, and interesting and weird books are always good. Can't have too many books. Cheesy 80s stuff. Star Wars, Star Trek, sci-fi, fantasy. I also have an Amazon wishlist, which you don't need to use by ANY means, but it may give you a better idea of my tastes.

I would rather NOT get wall art and clothing. I have too much of both as it is, I don't even have the space on my walls to display all the stuff I already have.

Video games are definitely my favorite of all the medias. Any strange, obscure, or just somehow interesting game would be well liked by me. Even wierd board type games too. I have the systems:
  • Wii, DS, GBA, NES, PS2, Windows 7, Xbox 360
  • Dreamcast, Saturn, Genesis
Posters, T-shirts (2XL (+tall if possible)), and other things from some of my favorite series would be fun too. Things likes:
  • Sonic, Crash bandicoot, Megaman X, Final Fantasy IX and X, Kingdom Hearts, Halo, The Virtual Boy, Naruto, One Piece

Other than that, I do like comedy books, puzzle knickˇknacks, candy and foods, and anything fun out of its insanity or wackyness.

I Hope this helps!

I didn't ask for the Infinity Gauntlet because I already have it. Did the sun rise for you this morning?

You're welcome.

ChrisGlass Nov 30th, 2014 12:11 PM

I got the Infinity Gauntlet disc in Disney Infinity.
